Yeah i doubt catfish were biting, they just inhale any bait they find SLURP. You're lucky to get a lip hookset, usually they will gut hook themselves if they could.

Hey There Guys, Now i picked up a Zodiac Z-ray from a fellow board member, the only issue i have tthis point and time is to find swiveling comfortable seats for it, its a 12ft boat and hence it has 2 wodden plank style padded seats, but i have a bad back and i need nome lumbar support something i can lean back on just a bit, I was also looking at some calmp style rod hodlers sice the zodiac doesn't come with any rod holders at all or any place to mount any. I figured if i could get clamping rod holders with swivelling heads or w.e i could mount one on each of the wodden seats - towards the side (after i mount a swivelling chair in the middle), or i could mount one rod holder to the motor mount for trolling purposes. What do i need to get and from where ? has anyone does this before with an inflatable boat. I dunno, any information and help regarding this would be appreciated. Thanks in ADVANCE folks Afraz

There are actually 3 beavers in the lil pond thingy closest to the P.P.P. But yeah, can't imagine why everyone can't do their part..But as mentioned before most of the litterbugs aren't anglers, just food fishermen who do not respect the natural resource available to them..

Oh man thats a fantastic deal, thanks for sharing -
Tonnes of Crappies to be caught in Binbrook, i used to stop by to have a look in the spring (my way back home fom dunnville), people fishing the shoreline used minnows under a float to catch diny perch and small black crappies, BTW interesting nick name "snagalot" lol...

Not all marshmallow users are snaggers, the marshmallows they sell at Lucky's with "trout Bait" written on them isn't there for no reason. And flossing only works if you are using a float i seriously doubt anyone could floss using a Pickrel rig with 2 marshmallows and a heavy sinkeron bottom fishing out of a deep harbour.

US To Approve Genetically-Altered Salmon For Fish Farming?
Afraz replied to craigdritchie's topic in General Discussion
This really can't be helped, its been a long time coming. And maybe not in my life time but certainly in those of generations to come i wouldn't be surprised if everything was genetically modified, i mean how else do you plan on feeding 12 billion (future figures) people if not through science.. Worst comes to worst this Aquvue w.e may not be legalized in the States but what about the rest of the world ? what about India and China they can easily raise these Salmon in their northen areas. To feed their massive populations, just my 2 cents. -
Hey Guys, Alright so my outboard is up and running, bought the mount, gas tank, the boaters card. The works, now i am ready for some serious inflatable based trolling LOL My question is, where can a guy in a 12 ft sevylor fish hunter 360 troll without having to worry about sudden weather changes, i mean this can happen anywhere. But i was looking for a list of lakes that i could fish with an outboard (not an electric) without getting into trouble with the authorities (day or night, since the 2 HP is noisy). Or having to worry about the lake suddenly turning into death, as may be the case with Lake O and Lake E. So yeah just a general list of smallish lakes that would be suitable for an inflatable, perferably close to the GTA. I honestly don't care ifi don't catch anything i just want to run around all day having people point at me and say IS THIS GUY NUTS ! LMAO ! Anywho, so yeah.. Oh and can i use an outboard on wilcox, musselman, Preston and proffesors ? what about some of the other kettle lakes close to the G.T.A or within it. Also would i be able to launch an inflatable at Milne conservation area in Markham ? i am curious to know although i doubt i'd want to fish that ses pool. Oh and for the final question, once Salmon season rolls along would it be okay for me to sorta troll around the mouth's of streams and rivers with relative safety with regards to getting back to shore in case something crazy happens. I was hoping to troll the mouth of the rouge, Bronte, Humber w.e all within about an hours drive from Scartown. Thanks Guys Afraz

Hey Fellas, I finally bought a outboard, its an evinrude 2 hp serial number 27020 C 54251 I have no idea what year it is, what type of mix it takes, how to get it to work and what not. The guy i bought it from used it on an inflatable and was selling it for his son. There was a language barrier so i was unable to get much info regarding the motor out of him. Now for the questions, i need to know what year it is. Where i can get an owner's manual, how do i get it to start what sort of things should i do to it to make sure it isn't the worst investment of my life. The thing looks very clean and nice, and the guys son bought it brand new (apparently) so i am guessing she can't be too old. All the wiring the paint is relatively mint too. I pulled at the cord the prop didn't turn (maybe its not supposed to) but something was making noise under the cover. When i twisted the prop it was a lil hmm under greased :S sorta hard to turn but not really ? Anyway turning the prop made some poping noise come from the top part of the unit o i am guessing everything is hooked up, so with every one complete rotation some weird popping sounds is emitted from the top end. What else..Like general info on what i should do now.. I want to see it run, i want to know the type of mix it needs gas plus oil. Umm how i could tune her up myself, and one last question. I went on the ontario transportation something site and they said any pleasurecraft which utilized a motor above 10 HP needed a boatrs card, now i plan to get a card anyway. But i just wanted to be sure, is this correct or would i need a boaters card even for say like an 18 Lb thrust trolling motor LOL Thanks a bunch guys

Wow that beach looks gorgeous, where is that on erie ? is it around maitland ?

hmm yeah, thanks for the replies. I was thinking the same, cause in saltwater we fish at night casting spoons with glowsticks attached to them. I figured i'd give that a try here for walters and whatever else is chillin in the hood LOL. Thanks again
-
Okay, so i was reading the regs today since i didn't have naything better to do and it mentioned that using lights to attract fish is illegal. Now i was already aware of this but i wonder if this applies to using glowsticks on a lure, like i was planning on making a homemade lure where i could stick a glowsick into it so that at night the fish could see it while i was casting. But would this be considered illegal ? i wouldn't think so since there are glow in teh dark cleos out there and other such lures. The regs are so vague, least to me. I don;t want to risk anything for no reason. Thanks in advance guys Afraz
