  1. Absolutely beautiful...I'm sure it was worth the blood, sweat and tears for those beautiful brookies!!!!
  2. Thanks, guys....I grabbed one first thing this morning at the CT around the corner from where I work...only one in stock (go figure!!!!!!!!!)....has a two year warranty and a spare prop. Should suffice for what I want it for...basically just puttering around near shorelines. My 15 hp Merc trolls fine.
  3. Transom mount. I figured the same thing, for a $100 what the heck...can always upgrade in a couple years, but, was hoping to hear from somebody who has one possibly. Thanks!
  4. Any thoughts/experiences with this model...38 lb thrust/36 inch shaft...on sale for $100 at CT. Looking to put it, possibly, on a 14 ft legend tiller. Thanks in advance!!!
  5. Forget the flack... very good points. For me, now that I've reached my mid 40's steelheading in the spring is rare. I love pursuing them in the fall and early winter, when they are at their prime both in fighting condition and for the table, if you wish to keep a few. Back in my early 20's I would fish stretches of river where fish were spawning, and I'm sure pull fish off the beds whether I wanted to or not. Never again...I would have no problem with a season opener for Steelhead as late as mid-May. However, if you are fishing deep pools for dropbacks, rivermouths etc...enjoy, guys!!!! Catching a dropback bow that has recovered most of its energy, in warmer water, is alot of fun when they leap five or six times.
  6. Think you mis-read the other statements...$30-40 was the used price. So, if you want to sell it to your friend, that is the going rate.
  7. I totally agree...maybe mother nature is giving something to our fishery. Everyone keeps harping about catch and release...fishing for spawning fish is as bad or worse than keeping a few fish.
  8. Another beauty brown...seen quite a few in posts from the weekend...supposed to be windy this Saturday, maybe I will park the boat. You guys are giving me the inspiration to try out a couple of spots I haven't been to in awhile.
  9. Done! Good luck, enjoyed just as much the second time around!
  10. Very nice Aaron...love the shot of that beautiful "brownie"!!!! I totally agree with your statement about less fish and peace and tranquility, it isn't always about numbers.
  11. Way to go, Steve...good to hear that you got out after working on the boat and not fishing for awhile!!!
  12. I'd also be willing to bet that it did or will taste terrible in that condition. Not to take anything away from the catch.
  13. Think I just drooled!!!!!!! Beautiful brookies!!!
  14. Nice...looks like you guys had a great time! Great report.
  15. Yup and the habs are going next!!! Go Canucks!!
  16. Sad to say, but, I agree as well. Bob and Harry used to be the best, no doubt, but, his time has long passed. Jim Hughson has been the best for a number of years, IMO.
  17. Haven't been lately, but, found them overpriced on my last visit. Used to frequent it quite a bit, 10 years or more ago, still haven't found a better place than Angling Outfitters right here in Woodstock (and no Jos didn't pay me for the plug, LOL) Good prices, care about their customers and willing to spend time with you. I also give a thumbs up to Jimmy down at Long Point, great guy, and Rotten Ronnies seemed reasonable enough in prices for what I purchased there.
  18. Nice...that will really shine on the ice!!!!
  19. Holy cow, that is a pig!!! Nice fish!
  20. Agreed, that darn work thing always gets in the way
