  1. Fantastic report...informative, and, entertaining!!!!!
  2. Roasted garlic and butter/Cajun...about a 60/40 mix. If you like it a bit spicy, absolutely awesome!!! As far as mono...still prefer Trilene XT in green (6 and 8 lb test...I don't use anything heavier in mono) above any others I have tried.
  3. Pretty good movie...saw it a few years ago. Hoffman plays the part well.
  4. Nicely done...also great to see some Simcoe beauties caught on the "softwater"...I second Cudz's question...anchored or rigging??
  5. Thanks, guys...those mounts look promising...easy to remove the chairs if necessary as well.
  6. I recently purchased a couple of seats for my Legend Prosport 14 tiller model. Wish to install them, but, not sure which mounts I want to use. Cabela's has some jon boat swivel mounts, but, a few guys tell me they slide around a bit too much...really have to clamp them down. I would like to have the swivel option regardless of the type I buy...doesn't have to be pedestal, and, I will drill if necessary. The above picture shows the layout of the boat...looking to mount one at the front (there is a space between the seat and the very front of the boat) and the other at the back, by the motor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  7. No spare spool with that one either, eh??!! Shimano has lost business to me because of that in the last two years. That said, my longest lasting reel with no problems has been a Shimano 4000 reel that I use for chucking hardware on Lake Huron piers. Caught so many salmon and bows with it, in the last twenty years, I've lost count. From what I've heard and read the CI4F is getting rave reviews.
  8. No snow down here, but, the winds are extreme...Long Point Anglers cancelled the pike derby for today...walleye opening is a bust. What can you do??? Mother nature is a MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully next Saturday!!!!
  9. Don't blame you...that's the advantage you have being in Lindsay, Could be tough fishing with the double whammy cold fronts, but, it IS opener. Good luck!!!
  10. Woke up this morning and saw the thread I started yesterday ended up in an insult contest...for the record I am a long suffering Leafs fan, but, just wanted to give credit where credit is due...the Habs are surprising alot of people. Sure they are riding Halek, but, great goaltending has won many Stanley cups!! A Habs, Canucks final would look really good on Bettman, LOL!!!!!
  11. Agreed, was going to give Scugog a shot tomorrow for opener...co-worker was going in his boat as well, but, the winds and cold front are more than likely going to postpone the visit. Looks like cards for me as well.
  12. I hate to admit it, but, they are for real. Halek might just earn himself a Conn Smythe if they keep this up!!
  13. LOL....I'll be sure to count them if I get out for it.
  14. Awesome, thanks for the quick reply!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure what is up with the ministry site and the fishing regs...
  15. Having trouble getting on the ministry website...does the Kawartha season open the first or second saturday in June? Thanks!
  16. On there now...never even really noticed it until today.
  17. Nicely done (except for the falling in part...brrr!!) you guys caught some really nice "walters"!!
  18. Congrats!!!!!!! Look forward to seeing the next one!!
  19. Enjoy...nothing more beautiful than a big brookie...maybe a big brown....nah, brookie all the way!!!!!!!
  20. Is it just me, or is Saturday always the windiest, crappiest day of the week???? Figured it had something to do with the fact that it is my only day off during our spring busy season. Got the 14 fter last September...starting to think I should have been looking for an 18 fter.
  21. Couldn't resist, "My Pose" LOL... Mike has started a serious trend...too funny!!
  22. Crap, if it was the 8th I would probably be all over it...working a half day on Sunday!
  23. Wow, does it make you wonder if you should have asked for a few more dollars for the house? Although, you can't beat moving it that quickly...congrats!
  24. The old herd mentality...gee if bubba is fishing there, I should too!!
  25. Read on the Quinte forum that the boat launch in Trenton is closed due to low water. Might want to double check.
