  1. Good stuff!!! Much as I love catching big fish, I still look forward to grabbing my light action 5 1/2 fter and going out for those tasty beggars too!! Especially when a 12 + "er grabs your minnow. Good times
  2. Great report Pete! Good to see you getting out for the "toothy critters" again.
  3. No better freshwater fish to eat, Bob! Nice going, hope to hit our side of the lake again soon for some more of those tasty beauties. That 14" is really nice.
  4. No kidding. The guy asks for a little advice on buying a scale and the whole thread turns into a holier than thou, fish weighing argument. Yup winternet is coming early.
  5. I'm not complaining when mine is within .3 (or less) of a lb, verified to a government certified scale. Like I said though, I don't use it alot, so who knows, with increased use it could become "loosey-goosey".
  6. I don't weigh them very often, probably why the battery is still good on the one I have. Had to weigh the sheepshead I got out with Lloyd last Thanksgiving weekend just cause it was such a pig.
  7. I've had one of the Berkley digital scales for over ten years now, measures in .1 of a lb increments. Still accurate within .3 of a lb. I've done side by side testing with our certified scale at work. Received it as a Christmas gift, so not sure of the cost...think they are under $40? Find it much better than any of the old spring scales I had.
  8. Great post John. I've enjoyed your photos on the Grey-Bruce forum for a few years now. I'll see what photos I can dig up from my little Nikon P&S.
  9. I don't find it too bad going through Toronto with the boat, but, I'm only towing a 14fter. Avoid rush hours, obviously, early morning pre 6 AM is by far the best.
  10. I second the Alaska and Argentina trips Mike mentioned. Also the Costa Rica (was actually looking into that trip this week, still a little rich for my blood) rainforest adventure/fishing trip, and a trip to New Zealand for both the brown trout fishing and the scenery!!
  11. How about "dem" apples, eh, Jacques?? Nice crop, enjoy!!
  12. No worries...bacon wrapped walleye, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  13. Great stuff Gord! Bacon wrapped walleye, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! I second Jacques' question, any upgrades for the team
  14. Why do I have visions of you in disguise, out on the water
  15. Funny, as we were passing by DC I mentioned to Juli that we still had to drop in and say hi, plus pick up one of the posters from the Fish-A-Thon. If I make it down for a shot at some of those brownies, I'll let you know when. Maybe we can set up a perch fish with Dan and Shawn, be fun to get the four boats out there together.
  16. Might see you out there one evening Ryan. Nice job on the basement. We're starting ours this weekend, now that foundation dig/repair is all done. Good luck with the kid's fishing day!!
  17. Great family fishing report!! Sounds like a great time, and, I'm sure the boys didn't care that the 'eyes were smaller. Thanks for sharing!
