  1. Nice, at least something was hot in Ottawa this weekend Couldn't resist
  2. Great end to the Nip ice season. I know I'm looking forward to next January
  3. Really good day!! Drop shotting for trout, there's a technique I haven't tried.
  4. I missed this one too, guys. Absolutely amazing. The slogging into that back lake was repaid in spades!!!! The size and colouration of those eyes is breathtaking!!!!
  5. Holy cow, I knew that comment was going to come from somebody If it's Juli's choice just make sure it has pink, purple or chartreuse in it.
  6. This lure has caught almost every species of fish for me Always have it in the box.
  7. Jacques you should have seen the way her rod was thumping on the fish she lost. Juli said it felt twice as big. You bet, buddy. We'll see you soon...either trout opener, or before, if we had down that way with the boat for some LPB perch.
  8. Ryan, we rarely keep pike as well, but, out of that cold water...if I had three plates-one with perch, one walleye, one pike...you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. Plus like Juli said, we had no choice, the back treble was right down in the gills, bleeding like a pig.
  9. What can I say Jacques...she has the majic touch this year. Nobody there hooked a fish except for her. I did have a follow. As for the score Bill, let's just say I'm doing about as well as the Leafs Can't wait Rick!!!!!! Yeah, Mike, when she starts hunkering down and rubbing her hands together mumbling about her precious, I get a little worried
  10. Used to know an older gentleman named Jim, fished mostly the Saugeen and at times Sauble. He had two trademarks, one a big stogie, the other a baitcaster set up for float fishing. Yes, he caught many fish.
  11. Yup, now one of those I did grab. Not my first choice in line, but, decent enough especially at that price.
  12. Interesting, I haven't heard anything good about it. Terrible memory, about the only thing it would be good for is, maybe, backing.
  13. I find the same thing with perch or walleye. Eat them fresh, no fishy taste whatsoever.
  14. Beautiful chrome hen, Chris. Definitely a gorgeous day to be out there!
  15. Great stuff Rick!! Would that be a Great Pyrenees? Awesome dogs, had one up until about 12 years ago.
  16. http://www.lakesimcoemessageboard.com/index.php?topic=2414.0 Check out the pic in this link!!! Yikes
  17. Fingers crossed that everyone makes it back home!!!
  18. Sounds more like Blue Fox spinners than Little Cleos???
  19. I realise these rigs catch fish, and, are all the rage, but...I have no desire to ever fish with one. Just my opinion
  20. Lots of shops if the wife is into that Brian. Knick knack stuff, antiques etc. Very close to some great brown trout fishing on the upper Grand, depending on if you are coming after trout opener.
  21. Love to, but, as long as I have my current job, will never happen. Unless I can do it in one day, which would make the whole experience too rushed.
  22. Yup, at least he looks like he gives a "you know what"! As for the amount, ridiculous like all sport salaries.
  23. AMEN, and Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those spring weekends last year were a disaster as far as getting out with my 14'er!
