  1. I wouldn't sweat it Jamie... You going to be out on Valentine's day with the team as well?
  2. Happy to oblige...I couldn't resist!!
  3. LOL...by beauty I meant they had nice colours!
  4. Interesting that your best fishing was at Halfway, went there about ten years ago, and only caught little grass pike...but, have caught some beauty bass at Grundy. I've heard that Silent Lake is good, but that could have changed recently as well.
  5. Ask him what he shaved with back then...
  6. Hope you didn't buy them all at CT, almost fell over when I saw what they were charging!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Hey, Steve...sent you a pm on your Fishmaster site. Good luck tonight!
  8. Love that last shot, black and white, with Walleye Gold...fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. So, I wasn't the only one wondering about that one, eh? Oh, well....makes for some entertaining reading at times.
  10. Awesome, crappies!!! Just got out on the ice myself for the first time in over thirty years, been out twice now and I'm becoming addicted...hut and auger and going on the purchase list for next winter. Way to go, and excellent report!
  11. This is a joke, right???? If not, more power to you, just follow the advice from "the doc"...hook too many of the darn things steelheading!
  12. Way to go! Seventeen months now for me.
  13. Hey, guys and gals! Anybody been to Sure Stike Cabins in the Astorville area? Any feedback on conditions, accomadations, fishing would be appreciated. Looking at an ice fishing trip in the next four or five weeks. Thanks.
  14. Wow, on today's article. I've owned a Honda CRV and a Nissan pick-up...as well as a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford and two Pontiacs...hate to say the two Japanese vehicles were the most reliable I have had thus far. Currently own a Torrent, has had a few bugs, but everything has been covered under warranty. Was considering going with Toyota down the road, all depends on what I have to tow, might reconsider if they don't regain that quality "rep."
  15. Some beautiful bows and browns, Paul...definitely going to have to give Niagara a try!
  16. I'm with Eazy, another vote for the Blue Fox vibrax...#4 Fire Tiger, awesome for Bows and Ho's!!!!!
  17. Check out the long point forum...dicey at best, none of the operators have their huts out.
  18. Nice catch, beauty whities and lakers, and, nice to see a fishing report!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Nice, hopefully you have more snow up there so you can actually use it! Enjoy the ice fishing up in the northland!
  20. That's the exact reason I went to a tiller, wanted a 14 fter, but on occasion take out the three young lads, 11, 10 and 10 so need that extra room. Nothing wrong with downsizing, just make sure whatever you buy can handle the water you will be fishing in.
  21. That's what it is all about...the boy's smile says it all.
  22. WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Think that says it all, well done!
  23. My first ever steelhead rod was a Fenwick (early 80's)...loved it!! Don't think they are near as good these days, but, like others have said, depends on personal preference. A lot of guys have put down Shimano rods, yet I have been using one for pier fishing (8 1/2 ft Sensilite) for over 20 years....caught numerous salmon up to 30 lbs....many bows...literally 100's of decent sized fish...never a problem with the guides or the rod!
