Bly and I have kept 3 fish...one was a huge 15 pound walleye, which unfortunately could not be live released. The other two were steelhead....for fresh roe and a few nice meals. Other than that, we always release.

Ahh...hey there! The story about you and creek fishing makes more sense now that I know your board name is lazybum...LOL. Great meeting and chatting with you as well. You can tell you have a great relationship...with all the good natured bantering that goes back and forth between you.

Oh man...I feel your pain...first hand! I was trib fishing....trying to land my first steelhead by myself. Had a big male on...full spawning colours. Brought it close, went to grab is and same thing...SNAP!!! I tried to grab it...touched it, but it swam away. I learned a very important lesson that day. Never forget your net!!! Chin up...you'll get em!! A 32"pike I landed weighed in at about 8 pounds...another one I caught was 34" and weighed 10 pounds...here's a pic of that 10 pounder.... Oh yeah...after telling my story about the steelhead, ppl told me that it's as good as landed...made me feel better too, but I still would have rather landed it...LOL. Good luck tomorrow!!! Looking forward a report!

Hey Bernie...I truly believe in fishing karma...do a good deed and the fishing is good! Keep it up and hopefully someone in our boat will take home the pike championship!! haha. Good on you though...it's people like you that really make the world go round.

Yes...there's a guy there who emailed me a once in a lifetime offer!!! He has a gazillion dollars that he needs someone to put in the bank for him, and all I need to give him is my banking info and he'll deposit a cool billion for me!! Since I exclusively fish from shore, these took a little work to find, fish for and land. I hope to better all of these this year! Walleye...14.5 pound, 32" x 19" Pike... 34", 15.5" girth and weighed 10 pounds

I drive from Yonge and 401 out to the Oshawa area every weekday. I'll print this pic out and keep my eyes peeled for it.

Joey...actually, with all the Carp Bly and I have been catching, we are experimenting with a new concoction.... What does everyone think of..... CARPCAKES???? Not sure what's in it yet, but we figured between our catches and the stuff washing up on Scugog, that we'd have lots for everyone to eat.

Check and check....we have our contribution for the prize table and will bring something for the dinner as well. Any suggestions for side dishes? Later!

You know what? Your son wont even remember that he didn't catch any fish. He'll remember fishing with Dad...with you getting him involved and having him help you by netting your fish and to take pics. Great job out there!
