  1. Wow! Fantastic report with lots of great fish and pics! Thanks for sharing.
  2. LOL....15 knots is just under 30 kph winds...I know that a lot when I'm standing on a pier....haha. Seriously...just head down there and take a look...you'll know if it's ok to head out. Take a radio with you...have it tuned to 680 news...you'll get weather updates every 10 minutes. Be safe!
  3. That's pretty cool...the question is.....Can you put a trolling motor on it? hehe
  4. Hard to say about the waters, just be on the watch for thunderstorms. There is a 60% chance tomorrow...can kick up high winds and waves in a matter of minutes. Oh yeah...I hear lightning isn't that much fun either...
  5. Hey Douger! DOH!!! Got your PM earlier...sorry I haven't responded yet! Right now it's tough on this end of the lake...I've been out a few times to some eastern spots and haven't heard of or seen anyone pull one in as of yet. I think it may be timing. We'll hook up there in the next month for sure!
  6. Hmmm...let's see...get to know my kids again, maybe shave, cut the grass for the first time this year, you know, things like that...LOL. It is an addicting place...I'm glad I stumbled upon it last year.
  7. Half an hour?? Ouch!! Been there and done that with my little one...you know it's not their fault and you feel sorry for them. Good luck when you head back! Hopefully with another report!
  8. I was out trying as well, in my neck of the woods. Nothing came out of the water here either!
  9. Hmmm...I guess I am pretty lucky. I get the following.... 4 weeks paid vacation = 20 days Statutory Holidays = 10 days 1 floater day = 1 day Total days is 31 days..... I will get an additional week off in 5 years. Do the numbers mentioned in the first post include stat holidays and sick days? Just curious!
  10. Wow...those are easy regs....LOL I'd fish a different trib if I were you....haha.
  11. What a great report...complete with a muskie!! I fished Chemong for the first time a few weeks ago and it's a pretty nice lake! I'll have to keep that place in mind. Thanks for the great report and pics.
  12. At least you got out there and gave it a try. You cant catch anything from your living room!
  13. Hi there Rana! Welcome to the board. I'm not familiar with the Brampton area as I am from the Oshawa area. Hopefully someone will be able to point you in the right direction. I have a 5 year old daughter who LOVES to fish. The trick is to find out where to do it. Out our way there are some great little conservation areas that have small ponds that hold lots of little panfish. Just fish along weeds with a worm and bobber and you are off to the races. Live worms have worked the best for her. Good luck! I hope someone can point you in the right direction.
  14. Excellent report! It's not always about the catching, but the quality time spent with family and friends. This report fortunately has BOTH!! Congrats on a great time out there.
  15. Great little report! You got into some fish and it looks like you had a great time....cant ask for more really.
  16. Fantastic report! Great job at giving us the exact location (as seen on the google map), but I dont think I'll head down there quite yet...must organize an OFC bus for that...LOL. Anyhow, you are a natural story teller, and seeing fish not native to where I am is a real treat. Keep up the good work! Looks like your aunt wont be disappointed.
  17. The equivalent in snow is 20 to 25 centimeters. So, I'd say it's a lot. I just looked at historical weather for Toronto...June and July each had about 45mm of rain total....so if we do get 20 to 25mm, then that's half that amount...all in one day.
  18. Oh WOW!! Now that I've seen it, it's incredible! Although I shouldn't be surprised since I've seen Pam's work before (not up close and personal...just here on the board). Great work Pam...you have a talent that has the ability to touch people in many ways. Ok...gotta close my mouth now, there's a fly in here......
  19. Welcome to the board! Hmm....after careful consideration, I'd say you were loaded in all three pics Looking forward to your reports!
  20. Nice pic Scott! Strange though, I'm used to seeing you in about 3 layers of clothing...LOL. Glad to see you're getting out there more and more now...it was strange not seeing reports from you. Oh yeah....I gotta get your new number....we have to hit a trib or two this fall.
  21. Wow...one day I REALLY hope to have something half as nice! This kind of reno is pretty rewarding...yeah it's work, but it represents relaxation and good times. Congrats to your uncle on the purchase!
  22. Great report again! Glad to see you still catching fish...and BIG ones too!
  23. Wow Lew! I cant wait to see the painting either. As Gerritt already said, when bly and I received the PM, there was no hesitation. I'm very happy that you are happy...and that this gift will mean that much to you. Thank you Pam, and Joey...big thumbs up for you two!
  24. AND the fish dont mind if it rains
  25. I just looked into this for our canoe and we decided on the green/red light for the bow and the white one on the stern. Here's what the transport Canada site says... (http://www.tc.gc.ca/MarineSafety/TP/TP511/..._kayaks_less_6m) Pleasure craft propelled by oars and pleasure craft 8 m (26'3") or less in length within sight of navigational marks do not require a compass. Canoes, kayaks, rowboats and rowing shells less than 6 m (19'8") in length ^ A sound-signalling device or a sound-signalling appliance Navigation lights that meet the applicable standards set out in the Collision Regulations if the pleasure craft is operated after sunset and before sunrise or in periods of restricted visibility Now...going to the collision regulations...it says.... (http://www.tc.gc.ca/acts-regulations/GENER...a014/csa14.html) © In vessels of less than 12 metres in length: --a masthead light, 2 miles, --a sidelight, 1 mile, --a sternlight, 2 miles, --a towing light, 2 miles, --a white, red, green or yellow all-round light, 2 miles. After talking about it on the board, I decided on the lights that you mentioned.... Here's the link to the other thread....as many chimed in.... http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...pic=9817&hl=
