  1. 2 stroke break in in many cases is to use double the oil. ie 100 to 1 becomes 50 to 1. This is what they are trying to accomplish by throwing the litre in the tank. ...and are you telling us that DT doesn't fill your tank on a new boat purchase? That would have added $430 to my boat price (mind you either way you pay for it!).
  2. I typed it with you in mind Bud !
  3. Where's the rest of the list with Venezula at 10 cents? But you're right, no matter how bad it is... someone always has it worse. Where's that mouse picture when you need it...cause that's what's happening to all of us. (unless of course you're wise enough to invest in petro stocks for your "refund")
  4. Missed your send off Dougal...but I know you'll have a great time... you always do.
  5. Actually Hoggs bay is between Port McNicol and Victoria Harbour.. but what's a few miles ! LOL Shore fishing it is tough though.. pretty much limited to casting from the old Grain Elevator yard in Port. Into Port...go right to the end of the street. Street goes left and Elevator Harbour is on the right. Not sure how much access there is anymore though.. Lock your car twice!
  6. They've always been referred to as a "K-Mart" boat here on GBay... but there's lots of them out there, so they must float. As pointed out.. it's got a Merc on it so suspect it runs good and floats = on the water and fishing. If this is the boat layout you like and the money you can afford then go for it... but give some thought to many other boats out there in the used department.
  7. It sure is and does... Whopper, like I just told you on the phone.. get back to work !
  8. Slim from that stinky bugger is still on my back casting platform....
  9. I doubt the army is lined up for fuel in Mississauga...
  10. LOL... I only drive those as an actor Brian !
  11. Stoty... have you ever priced a hummer to see they really aren't that expensive compared to many SUV's and burn gas no differently than most. And no I don't own one.. not into vehicles design with a straight edge ruler.
  12. LOL Roy... twas thinkin that when I copied and pasted...
  13. Anybody count ribs to see what you're riding?
  14. Issue with these people is they'll re-mortgage their home to protect an animal...yet walk right by a donation jar for a 5 year old boy that just lost both his arms.
  15. Is the first gas bar still there..don't think so?? If not will probably be one close to it I'd think.... First gas bar opens at Yonge & Church in Toronto. Gas bar customers receive discount coupons, later known as Canadian Tire 'Money', redeemable in merchandise at Canadian Tire stores. (1958)
  16. I had forgot Mike.. but thanks for reminding me.. damn aluminum dust !
  17. All my pics are hosted on our own servers.. much to my sons dismay ! Oh.. and the bandwidth use should drop substantially in 10 days !
  18. So.. does it matter what calibre of gun we bring?
  19. Like 2tone says... go fishing and save your hard earned money (or in your case the parts for when you need them). You've got two engines.. wait for one impellor to fail and use the other motor to come home. Probably won't happen in the time you own the boat anyhow... provided you never start it dry. This includes when launching. Drop the engine down and give it a bit to fill itself before hitting the key. I see way too many still "pre-starting" their motors on shore.. then launching. My Verado says impellor change at 3 years... ain't gonna happen 'till I see the water pressure read out start to fade.
  20. If it's a cartopper... ie 4 foot wide transom... a 9 is plenty and don't make any sharp turns. I know they flip with an 8.. F-in-law still has the 14 inch scar on his leg from propellor "rash" !
  21. ...always the hockey threads...
