  1. Okay..now get it sold before someone "misses" the toilet !
  2. Surprised Cliff didn't borrow that big ugly bugger for his team Bly! Thanks for keeping him honest! LOL
  3. If you knew my wife... you'd know that would have been a good law to pass 40 years ago.... That said... we are really starting to become a policed "state". What's next.. no sex on picnic tables on hot summer nights? lol
  4. I'll be there Friday afternoon for a wedding with minimal time to get there (it's down town off sussex).. heading home asap Saturday to get the boat ready to tow. I'll be in my daughters apartment... Bell St S.. just off Bronson/Queensway. I'll PM you.
  5. Wadda ya mean they weren't using them? You're supposed to kneel on them when paddling into 5 footers aren't ya ?! lol
  6. My first one (75W-24-60), that Terry now has, was fairly quiet... they do have a good "werrrrr" sound to them when turning and the the annoying beep.. beep.. My new 70 inch's turning motor is louder than the first one. Gonna have a boo inside it when I get a day at the lake. 3yr guarantee on everything.. so no rush. Lifetime on shaft, and that's a good thing we've already found out, as Terry shattered his on a stump and got not only a new shaft.. but most of a lower unit/new built in sonar etc for free and fast service. Make sure your motor is mounted out far enough that the shaft has clearance from the gunnel... so the top unit springs can do their job and not have the gunnel as a pressure point.
  7. Don't you'all hate when that happens....
  8. You'll almost always find them in bass as well. Just pop them out like a pimple !
  9. Yes should be plenty. I'm still using the same 130 lb floro leaders that I used for Musky all last season. 12" casting one saw 10+ Muskie over 40" and up to 50".... 36" trolling one saw at least 6 muskie and a lot of rocks. The trolling one is a tad nicked up, but I have no reason not to use it again to start this season or at least keep it as a good spare.
  10. Great stuff Ryan ! Will be trying the same baits out in a couple weeks and see what we swirl up ! Unfortunate that I have to wait 'till the 3rd Saturday for Pike now.. but so be it !
  11. Now tell me Jamie... what the hell do you do with the fish.. fishing from the bridge. Cut it off when you get it close?
  12. I fully understand the bigfoot and it's gearing difference.. but don't understand it causing a shorting problem. The fuse that blew.. was it on the alternator to battery lead? and fused lighter than the alternators output capability? And again you'll love the wireless!
  13. Great stuff Erik !! Lots of work filleting them up... why I love my deer hunter dropping them off prepared at my back door, as payment to hunt my property! UMMMY stuff !
  14. Great stuff Snagmasteral ! I recognize that rock.. and that one... Great having the better half as a fishing partner for sure... saves the "where are you going.. when will you be home" immensely! lol
  15. Jamie's still busy explaining to his wife where he's been for a week Brian !
  16. Great choice on the trolling motor.. why would anyone want to be tied to one with a foot pedal?? I run mine from the back casting deck 20 feet way and work my way out of shallow back bays using the key fob while tidying up the boat for the ride back down the lake. Thorpe uses his DAILY doing Muskie Charters and has never had an issue with his other than the screws come loose in the turning motor housing.. so watch those and if they come loose reinstall with some loctite. NIce boat... are you saying they put the wrong motor on it for you? And something is wrong with (the dealer) if blown fuses on the maiden voyage?
  17. There's only one real Johnny Bass Chickenhawk!!
  18. Peter, like many ship harbours a "harbour licenced" captain was required to be on ships coming into dock. Similar to needing one for foreign ships coming thru the St. Lawrence canal. The Toronto Harbour patrol apparently takes this a step further and requires small boat owners to have one. (which is a practical boat test I might add) My take on this is there is no sign TTBOMK when entering the harbour from the main lake and I suspect there isn't a sign at the boat launch either telling you that you are required to have one... so how would you know and I doubt they really have the power above the Federal boating requirements for pleasure craft to make you have one unless you are actually in the old ship yard area. Can they really expect a transient boater to anchor outside the harbour limits.. swim to their office and request a harbour licence test in one of the police boats before going back to their own and bringing it in to dock? BTW.. I think this would be a good "pet" case for Kirk to take to task. Someone get charged and see if Kirk can get you off to set precidence!
  19. Sure hope it wasn't a first date! ..and what Rick said. Check the trailer first and then go after Toyota if all works correctly. Mind you people just tap into the existing light wiring for trailer lights..and this doesn't work all the time anymore, with many needing isolators/converters. Maybe her vehicle was wired wrong?
  20. I can read them just fine Ben and anyone that can't has lost the spirit of what the tourney is about in the first place. When you print the next one.. and put it in a ziplock bag... add 2008 would ya! lol
  21. That was our 25th anniversary notice Ron.. not her Birthday ! LOL You've got the number if you're blasting thru to Nip again !
  22. Oh... and some nice looking creatures come out thru July and August as well Robert !
  23. Have a great time... let us know how it goes!
