  1. You sure.. saw you park down at the gate.. maybe you slipped down to the creek !!!! Thought you would have brought a camera to prove I actually work...
  2. Gonna keep a copy in the boat to hand the other area CO.. Rick has no issue fishing Muskie with a conservation licence! lol
  3. I only care if he covers half the pics bud...
  4. Hell.. they drop by my yard even! Reports of someone poaching rainbows in the creek that runs out of my property. Dropped by for permission to tresspass this evening at 7:20 PM ! Can't beat that. Great guy... Rick Williams.... and I now have another cell number for my phone. Now where'd I put that fly rod....
  5. They will.. but they don't have the legal capacity to collect taxes on a federally registered item ! You shouldn't have and you should have had a bill for the trailer.. and the boat seperate.
  6. One or the other... not worth the arguement though with some OPP.. have both! Gerritt... the MTO does not collect taxes for boats.. trailers yes. Crap shoot.. he may or may not get a letter from Oshawa looking for said PST.
  7. Like Lew... 7'6" Compre CPC-M76H but with a Calcutta 700B on it .... or a St. Croix with a Quantum CBC31PTS like Mepps. No need for a line counter.. count wraps as others have indicated.
  8. And people think boats are expensive to maintain! Great stuff Ron.. she's a keeper for sure ! She just better not have an event.. say around the 3rd week of February....
  9. Chapter 11.... that's where all the suppliers go out of business for failure of GMC to pay them, legally. Guess the writting might have been on the wall... oh way back around '92 when we all got screwed with GM not paying the likes of TRW and other tier one suppliers for over a year. Call it free restructuring then to the tune of 40 some billion. Of course that got passed down to the tier 2 lads like us that didn't get paid for over a year and a half. Of course companies like ours where still expected to pay for raw materials in 90 days or less and our employees weekly..... MANY didn't survive that! Many many more aren't gonna survive this round!!
  10. I'm sure it is Dan... but I'll row the sucker before I take the time to tear the top off that thing to get at the pulley. Rowing is good for ya... especially with a 16' steel boat ! lol Some of the newer/larger engines won't start that way. Anything with a computer won't. Verado won't even try to start if below 11 volts to the control circuits.
  11. some great work there Matt.... stare at it a long time before you carve numbers in it.. He'll remember the occasion, I'm sure! The indents may also tip his beer bottle... lol
  12. Even my 25 Honda Albert... no pull rope and a lot of work to get stuff off to use the emergency rope (and I'm told you'd probably never get it going with that)
  13. Would if I could.. but someone decided to get married that day !
  14. Not much in todays economy my friend! lol
  15. In all honesty I just wanna clarify something. There's obviously more than one way to skin a cat... we all know that (well us muskie guys do anyhow..). What Bryan stated "that paint won't stick if you use stripper" is all I was pointing out and what threw me for a loop. How the paint comes off has nothing to do with it sticking. Bryon likes blasting and that is fine.. IF the aluminum is thick enough to take that abuse (which it never is with what I deal with day in day out) then go ahead and blast it... BUT.. you have to get your primer on within an hour of blasting or else you'll just be going thru the same prep steps as you would if you had of used paint stripper. So if you can't start painting the minute you vacuum the blasting residue away... then the removal process becomes a mute point. Follow the paint manufactures process and Bob's your Uncle. The interlux that Art linked to is some great stuff.
  16. .. and they say I spend too much time here... look at the list above me! Hi Steve!!! You wingless, Elitist you!
  17. Cheque... where.. when.. how do I get one?? Maybe this is why the OFC "light" went out for a bit ! lol
  18. No wonder Joey never catches anything trolling with you on BOQ!!!
  19. Yah.. but I'd prefer not to be in the targetted boat next round....
  20. That has nothing to do with using stripper to get the paint off. Aluminum is aluminum once the paint is off. Proper prep has to go into any paint job.... brand of paint, it's primer and it's properties dictate what can stay submerged and what can't... not how you removed the old paint. And BTW... there are airplanes that sit on the water just like boats.... as well as floats do get painted also. How much aluminum do you work with a year Bryan??
  21. Damn it Terry... quit lying to the people! ...yes it's 2PM.. I'm finally on my lunch break for 15 minutes !
  22. Unless it's a Verado.. which is supposed to be wired with a dedicated battery independent of all other stuff. Mine still has a few light draw things on it.. but not much. The rest are all on the kicker's battery (which also gets charged by the Verado when it's running). Nothing on the deep cycles but the bow mount as mentioned already.
