  1. It should lift using nothing but plastic spatulas// putty knifes. Some might take some minor scubbing with scotchbrite. Read the instructions... absolutely do not play in it once laid down. It needs to gel over and let the reaction do it's thing. Wind will kill you too... so inside if you can.. or some kind of wind break.
  2. Some great info Dave that I'll be passing along to my s-in-law that owns Manitoulin Resort (ex- Holiday Haven), but I'm sure this info will also ruffle some locals feathers....
  3. Nelson.. this is the general formula used for max HP rating of boats in the USA (2 X L X W) -90 = rated horsepower So based on that if that 14'r is 5 feet wide supposably you could put a 50 on it. I wouldn't try it... lol
  4. No arguement George... just stating there's no law against it. Ie the OPP or Coast Guard cannot fine/charge you for having a 300 Verado on a 275HP rated boat. Marina may have a rule for themselves to avoid any liablity issues at their end and the insurance company... I have a First Mate package and their only issue before writting coverage was whether the boat could do more than 50 MPH and I said no it's too darn heavy and the writter said that's what he thought as well!
  5. I'd have to see it first.. but don't think the 20 would be a big deal over a 15. Had a nymph in for repairs last week though... not the toughest built hulls. Didn't pay much attention to the transom to give you a definitive thought on the matter.
  6. Max HP rating on a boat in Canada is purely "suggested". No law against ignoring it... other than the common sense one..
  7. LOL... and check out the collar !!!!!!
  8. Paddle to the Sea... Film was directed by Mason.
  9. LOL Roy... Buy a collar with dogs name.. your name and phone number on it, before you get the dog. You'll need the help..
  10. I bought the 5 foot $20 Shakspeare(sp) combos for my nephews and they have worked flawlessly for them.
  11. Great stuff Simon!!!! Wish I had the time.. and more stuff open in Zone 11 to fish for!
  12. I've used just about every brand in the last 15 years Mike.. and we always come back to Tal Strip 2 to strip airplanes.
  13. Zip that last eye off.. throw a new tip on and call it a 12' 7" Sheffield Custom. I doubt you'll notice any difference..
  14. Like the Shark said. Most marinas use nothing but normal off the shelf car oil for the smaller 4 stroke outboards. Mine uses Shell.. water cooled is well water cooled!
  15. Go to your local "jobber" (NAPA, Carquest, etc) and ask for Mar-Hyde Tal-Strip 2. The 2 is the important part Tal-Strip is for metal etc. Tal-Strip 2 is for aluminum and even has an aircraft on the label. They may have to order it in.. most seem to only keep the Tal-Strip in stock. Key is.. brush it on and DON'T touch it again. It needs to gel over/seal for the chemicals to do their job under the gel. BTW.. it's about $40 to $50 a gallon!
  16. Move the bow stop forward on the trailer. Boat is way too far back.
  17. Okay Cliff.. Monday... 15 days from now! Just trying to keep you out of trouble ! lol
  18. Crap Wayne... did ya make Cracker fix all them hull cracks before putting it back together!
  19. "Monday" .. I thought it opened the 27th...
  20. Don't let him go with your Cliff... he's bad luck to be in your boat... Great fishing lads...
  21. Great day on the water Shayne... even without the fish.
  22. So was I Rob.. who do you think flew them stewardship gals around till they puked.. counting nesting pairs in the spring and signets later on! I had the original wild release, Pigpen, living on my property with her family..... until some ass ran her down with a boat or PWC at the mouth of Sucker Creek. Now does anyone know just how deep a loon or swan can dive down under water?????
