  1. I don't do "Red Green"... .. as others have asked end use Brian.. would help immensely !
  2. As the Shark pointed out.. buy name brand and don't worry. The little Yamaha Moto 4 we bought way back in 1983/84 still takes a regular beating every summer from the kids (now 21/24/26 !) Can't kill it... same deal with the automatic Breeze and the Big Bear we've had since '93 and based on the moto4 why I went Yamaha with them.
  3. Well I do... and my Pursuit tracks, swivels and holders were over 3 grand alone...
  4. Now as for your flying in and out... what's your game plan when John can't come get you one night??
  5. Lets just say it's cheaper than being addicted to coke....
  6. I should have pointed out that that quote was taken from another news site...
  7. Hammer carp... HE should have been shot down. There are so many rules these days to fly a GA aircraft across the border that they only had one choice... and they failed to take it. This is going to have a HUGE impact on General Aviation that is already going into the dumpster in the USA and getting worse here in Canada. How would you like to call in before starting your car... get a trip plan and transponder code to squack so they can track your trip from your laneway to Bass Pro...oh and don't leave without your new fangled security card or you can't walk from the BPS doors to your car before departure. That about sums up what it takes to fly around the "patch" in your old J3Cub state side these days.
  8. Thanks for helping thru a blustery day Drew !!! Finally had time to sit down with lunch and read it thru. Some BEAUTY specimens in that one... some fish as well! Blackburn's a good guy (Don)... his side kick with hims name is Andre Bradette... don't know him though. Don's been going there for years as has my neighbour down here Joe Dyer. They go up to fish and also a Hudson Bay goose hunt. I was actually going to surprise you and was supposed to go North with Joe to fish Kesagami this spring. If you see this airplane there on skis.. it's my buddy Joe from Waverly. You know what mine looks like.. They're all level headed fellas... maybe even 411 Don in Cochrane and chat about how the bite died from the noise and work out a plan for being on the ice at the same time or different spots lol .
  9. Yah got that right Dan!!! Here's the real issue though......! "This has been a test.................This was a test of the terrorist delivery network...........................Had this been an actual attack, our brother would have been able to delivery a WMD to your town. We thank you infidels for showing us that you do not have the '####' to shoot down a threatening plane. We will keep that in mind when we plan our next attack , err We mean our next "man made catostrphe."
  10. You know what they say about leaving the keys in your car... .. Same deal ! Flight school owner admits she leaves the keys in all the airplanes, not that you really need them anyhow.. but sure makes it easy to walk on the ramp and fly away. Problem is.. this is just what homeland security needed to gain support for the security nonsense they are trying to push thru in General Aviation south of the border. Pretty soon GA will be dead.
  11. Thanks for the twirly stick porn Bud ! I'll come back later today and read about the fishies!
  12. Just remember what pay backs are....... ..and I can get to your beer!
  13. Oh the old Nipigon "Jig Fly" ! Make sure you have a handful for me when I arrive this time..... via Geralton !
  14. Guess you're really in trouble this round Brian if there's less of them !! NO shortage in this yard....
  15. I pulled 9" of snow off my boat cover at 4 PM and it's still coming down. Did manage to get the hangar rotated... after putting the plow back on the truck and plowing the darn snow..
  16. Beautiful to look at.. nothing else! Really screwed up my day/possibly week as I need to pull out and rotate everything in the hangar and can't because of this crap and the now mud beneath it... but it is Canada! lol Wife had to go to TO to accompany daughter for a scan and took almost 3 hours to get to the Holland Marsh alone this morning.. Everyone 20KPH on #93.
  17. Time to thin them out... they got that thick in oro/medonte a couple decades back and they were so interbreeded they had some serious defects...
  18. Welcome aboard Becky.... the fish get bigger if you paint your nails purple !
  19. MIke.. hit enter between your pics ! That "labour of love" of yours has come a long way my friend!!! Great to get the daughter out to start the season.
  20. He won't be checking out your tan bud.... or at least I hope not !
  21. Just make sure the front desk sees you bringing that shiny new battery INTO the store !
  22. Yep.. as Darsky states may just be an initialization issue. My airplane GPS takes from here at home to about the french river (50 minutes)... the first flight in the spring if I haven't flown all winter. Turn the power on in the laneway and let it sit with a clear view of the sky.
