  1. I couldn't resist John... very unfortunate for sure, and like Waynechute stated they must have been pretty green as boaters.
  2. We don't even use nite lights at camp... we get Lloyd to sleep in the kitchen and his glow is good enough. Seriously.. Port Hope's soil is a mess. School yards, you name it, are filled with this crap...not to mention the dump drains into Lake O
  3. Would the Etech not start....
  4. Paul.. we can never forget! My father was one of the lucky ones.. enlisted against his Mother's wishes at 17, did all his boot camp and then the war was over. Discharged in April. My brother did 20 years in the CAF.. Herc Squadron Commander out of Trenton. Every hell hole in the world including the Gulf War. He doesn't talk much about his deployments and many he can't talk about.. because they "didn't happen" according to our government. He has so many things tucked away in "invisible boxes", to get out at a later date, he can be a hard person to get to converse. I can't imagine what some of the WWI and WWII vets have/had in their "invisible boxes" that they lived with their entire lives and never spoke about.
  5. Always humbling and it never gets old Jim!
  6. I thought maybe Dax forgot to set his clock back...
  7. Congrats fella !! .. and a well placed shot to boot !
  8. I questioned the sled club leaving 100's of trees on Midland Harbour and the sound a couple winters back. MNR/local CO (you know the local "preacher" Rob) couldn't even be bothered to reply.. so they can't care that much.
  9. But did you catch anything Phil??? Marty and Brian have first dibs... but you never know they may work you in or give you a spot on the 120...
  10. As will I ! We have a yard full of them.. the tell tale without looking at the tree itself is those big chips on the ground Lew. You'd swear the buggers use a hatchet vs a beak !
  11. Thanks for passing on Jackie's update Art! Jack's a tough 'ol bugger.. he'll be back carving in no time.
  12. You know Dave.. the number of times this gets asked that would pay for itself in no time...
  13. That was just Brianb falling out of his tree stand Lew !!
  14. Took a while to find the camera.. so didnt' get a shot until it was a good 400 feet from the dining room window. Walked right across the front yard.. size of a horse. This is probably the little guy Marty came up out of the bush babbling about last year.. lol. All he could get out is I didn't think they came that big... Terrible zoom/crop.. but look at the height of that rack above his head..
  15. "Winternet" hasn't even started yet my friend....
  16. Only if she hasn't let go of the bottle...
  17. I know that spot!!! lol... and many times while cutting firewood in the fall, I've had a doe or two scare the crap out of me.. turn around to set the saw down and almost wap her in the nose. Same deal with the backhoe running.. the noise brings them right in and they'll be standing right there staring up into the cab.
  18. Naaaa.. I'd rather just sleep in with the aforementioned in my arms...
  19. He took that picture right beside your blind yesterday afternoon Marty !! Beautiful shot Brandon !!!!
  20. That root beer Roy had ready for him go bad or something.... Thanks for the report Hun.. looked like a great time. Nothing beats eating at Roy's and fishin with Thorpe...
  21. Guys are always quick to grab my 2HP jiffy Lightning x 9"... vs their 3Hp jiffys. Lighter and starts better. Never an issue drilling right down to the handles... I've even had to put the extension on it and it rips thru the ice.
  22. The way I've seen Joe fish.. you've got that right...
  23. Won't know until late Wednesday night if I'll be heading to Lloyd's Thursday. Jen's Chemo is Monday/Tuesday and we'll see how the first one goes. Lexxington is "batter up" for my spot and a welcomed extra if I indeed make it down.
