Thanks Peter for the generous offer. At this point we are covered staying in Jen's apartment just off Lansdowne with easy access to subway or a drive down college st to the hospital. If that changes I won't hesitate to call you, or a few of the other generous people here on OFC that have offered up accoms for us in the city. Wayne -
I caught a guy going into the back field yesterday Marty... saw his truck on the road and I just happened to be up test flying my airplane. I circled and circled at tree top until I found where he was and he ran for his truck.. then I followed him (in the air) all the way home, then landed back at home and called the police to have him charged with tresspassing. Oh.. and don't miss this thread.. http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48279&st=0&p=518672&fromsearch=1entry518672

Everyone's too busy to get no where Albert.. unfortunately! I stood quietly in my hangar door opening at 10:59am.. listening to the band I could hear either downtown Midland or Penetang (considering the wind direction I figure Midland) thinking of all those men gone before us and those that continue to serve....... and shed a few tears to boot. A good lad you've got there Louis... let him follow his dreams!

From the MTO... If you purchased a used vehicle in Ontario and the vehicle was previously unregistered, the following documents are required: Old vehicle permit-if available (If the old vehicle permit is not available then a sworn affidavit is required. Please call ServiceOntario’s Driver and Vehicle Contact Centre at (416) 235-2999 or toll free (Canada Wide) 1-800-387-3445 for further information on contents of affidavit). Completed and signed Application for Registration (available at Driver and Vehicle Licence Issuing Offices). Safety Standards Certificate, if the vehicle is registered fit not required for trailers, motor assisted bicycles, off-road vehicles or motorized snow vehicles. Plate portion of the permit if registrant attaching plate already owned Bill of sale. Proof of identity for applicant to verify their name, date of birth and signature. Insurance information if the vehicle is plated, not required for trailers. Payment for Harmonized Sales Tax. For commercial vehicles and trailers whose empty weight is more than 900 kilograms, an Empty Weight Certificate is required. Vehicle emissions inspection may be required if the vehicle is plated. To find out if your vehicle needs to pass an emissions test, call the Drive Clean Call Centre at 905-440-7482 or visit the Drive Clean website. Payment for licensing fees: for plates and permit, $20 or $35 for a trailer plate or $10 if plates that are already owned are attached. For plate validation, the owner will be required to pay for the validation period from the date of vehicle registration to the assigned validation expiry. Trailer plates do not require validation. Fee for off-road vehicle plate and permit is $35, validation is not required. Fee for motorized snow vehicle registration (decal) and permit is $30 and annual validation is $15. ...................... I'd be in the same boat if I went to sell any of my 4 wheelers.. none have ever been registered.... But I do have bills of sale and would get the prospective buyer an "ownership" as part of the deal. Oh.. and remember you aren't in a big hurry pulling a hut. You want something good in all conditions and DEPENDABLE!

Sorry Roy.. but that is incorrect. On Rememberance Day flags fly at Half Mast from sunrise to sunset on all Government buildings (and at the end of my property where I got up early to lower it). A flag MAY be lowered to half mast at 11am during a rememberance day event. http://www.pch.gc.ca/pgm/meb-hm/index-eng.cfm

I'm just browsing thru all this Bull and thinking to myself.. life as a whole must be pretty darn good for the majority, if all you can find to whine about is 3.5 tenths of a cent ! Go grab your Bell hard line bills from Pre-HST.. and pull out your calculator. 7 times out of 10 Bell was taking 2 extra cents PST on every bill. Lots of coffers for the corporation considering how may customers coast to coast.... that was never turned over to the Minister of Finance...

Using a travel trailor on private property ?
irishfield replied to cityfisher's topic in General Discussion
Go to the municipalities website.. find the planning department. With todays technology and everyone trying to go paperless the entire Official Plan should be there. Print out the hundreds of pages and read it for insomnia! Read it and read it again until you know it better than the planner... -
What a wonderful specimen!!!!

Using a travel trailor on private property ?

Issue will be whether your land is already under the "official plan" and has already been subjected to planning review. If it's under the review already. Ie: plan of subdivison then you are probably screwed. If it isn't.. you can do many things if you have never applied for planning.. ie a building permit. For example.. I can clear cut all the land I own up North... as I have never applied for any building permit or planning review, therefore I am not bound by any tree cutting.. viewing corridors etc that are in the offical plan. I can cut any trees I want, because the municipality isn't large enough to pass a tree cutting bylaw (need more than 10,000 people). As soon as I apply for a building permit.. I can't cut the trees anymore as they are part of the official plan when you have buildings. Since a building under 10 square meters isn't governed under the building code.. nobody can stop you from building same.. IF YOU'VE NEVER APPLIED FOR PLANNING REVIEW/PERMITS. HOWEVER... if it has plumbing in it, it now comes under the building code and they won't let you build them in many areas. This was brought out in recent years to stop the building of little bunkies while people scratched their funds together to build the real cottage. Of course pushed through by those already established on the lakes that didn't want to see these little shacks. This has now been reversed in the Temagami official plan.. at least in the draft.. that will again allow building the "shack" before building the edifice. Now that trailer... if you own the land and pull up in the RV trailer... who's to stop you from camping on your own land, let alone storing a trailer on same?? Don't let the township confuse MOBILE HOMES.. with Recreational trailers.. they are two complete different animals. Just make sure it's plated and you have ownership for it and the tires are round. Portable structures are a real grey area. If you really wanna make their head spin... buy a Habiflex home. It's on a trailer.. it folds out into a full 24x 36 cottage in about 2 hours! -
I guess now we really know what happened to your Cracker Wayne!
