  1. I always thought it would look neat in an open bonnet rod.. never got around to it, but the engine is still here!!
  2. Hey.. you picked the location Dave!!
  3. That's what Betty complained about tooo Brad!
  4. Just don't slip off the milk crate Brian !!!
  5. Great to hear Harry! Ford has always treated us well in the last decade or so! GM..I won't even comment on their service, but Stoneleighs in Midland got what they deserved.. dealership pulled during the downsize!
  6. Good to hear she's getting back out John. I'd plan a winter couples outing for us all this winter.. but unfortunately I can't at this time. Give her a hug for me..
  7. Hear ya Brian!! The sad part through all of this.. Friends I've made in the last few years here on OFC are seriously interested and concerned on a daily basis and for that I'm gratefull... others I've known for decades and decades, including some of Leah and I's family members, have gone underground. Guess it might be their way of dealing, but not what we or Jennifer needs during this.
  8. I tried it in the drill press first. .. and wasn't getting anywhere other than a bent bit. Did it by hand with a new 3/32 bit in the cordless and it was effortless. Guess I grabbed a dull bit the first round! Anyone else want this done to your cutters... drop by CTC and buy the brass lever snap.. I have everything else here at cost!
  9. Hey that was 2.5 years ago Brian.. I have less gut and more twit now !!
  10. Thanks for the update Norm!
  11. So.. with nothing better to do today. I added a compresion spring that I had around the shop, by slipping the ends in under the handle covers and staking in place with some super glue I had on hand. Figured while I was at it.. drilled the handle and added a 6 foot x 1/16th aircraft cable and a nice brass lever end to snap around any handy track accessory screw.
  12. Thanks Gerry.. I took a day for myself today.. slept in late, worked on some muskie gear. Back to reality tomorrow, but all a day at a time!
  13. I'm not sure what it is.. but Laker Jessy is just so much cute'r in the bow!!!! Nice outting lads!! Determined and fish... well at least for one of you!
  14. Johnny.. I just gotta ask after all these threads, has your mother ever let you even look at the hydro bill????
  15. Lew.. you're gonna be puttering around the garage anyhow all winter.. just slap the charger on them all once a month or so while you are out there and you'll be fine! Save your money for a muskie bait or two.. what's that.. you don't need anymore of them!! lol
  16. I pull the cord and go.. is that bad?? LOL Then again I do all the maintenance BEFORE it sits the summer. Boogie wheels are the big thing to check.. RIGHT LLOYD !! Have a good look at them all.. any rubber chips? Loosen the track and give them a spin.. bearings?
  17. Hey John.. if you can find the car I have a Red Ram Hemi in the hangar that we can put back in it!! 2 barrel carb on the spider web intake... I've been carting that engine around since I found it in the bone yard when I was 17 years old.
  18. Next year.. next year.. I'll be there next year. Can't believe how clear those pics are in post #1 inside the smokers cabin. We could cut the fog in there the last two year... only way you could breath was with a gas mask!
  19. Snowin like a bugger up here. Icey as hell this morning.. hope the youngest made it to Barrie to work okay this morning at 7!
  20. No.. she actually asked me to take pictures this round to document it all. She was pissed with me when she had her crohn's surgery and I took pictures.. (what ever it takes to make them smile!) but she beat that one hands down, so figures maybe she should go with it this time for the same outcome!!

  22. What Woodsman said... no need to have lights on your boat during the day, I never have mine installed on my lund during daylight. Hell, I'm not even sure where I tucked the rear light pole away to. They got nailed for not having a working flashlight! Also.. many get nailed as they still have that orange bailing bucket wrapped in the shipping plastic. Right away they know your flashlight doesn't operate as the batteries aren't in it when shipped! As for the boaters card... everyone in the household had one this summer just hoping to get pulled over to show it off. First year in 6 on the water of Temagami that they didn't seem interested in doing boat inspections... not pulled over once.. just waved to, or horn tooted to, a dozen times or more.
  23. Na.. it's totally the "kid" Drew!! Here she is all hooked up to the gin pole and waiting for her chemo to be injected. I think she's telling the cancer where it can go... or maybe it's for me! lol
  24. As for the three motors.. spin the wheel and take what ever comes up. You can't go wrong with any of those three choices. I've run Mercs, inboards and outboards, all my life and have Mercs and Hondas right now. All dependable.
  25. Thanks Smallie.. I'm told this morning she's a lot more alert and chipper.. and used less pain killers than normal yesterday.. actually ate a full pancake and ran from the living room to bathroom (25 feet)fast enough that Leah thought something was wrong. She just had to go.. lol.. but she hasn't run in a long long time. There's hope yet that she'll get to work next week.
