  1. That is the Musquash River. Use to be a boat launch on the West side of the old highway, but not sure if they put one back anywhere after the 4 laneing. Possibly over on the Cranberry growers road.... There are a few rapid sections downstream before it gets to Georgian Bay and to the best of my knowledge it's not navigable down there. Many seem to fish that stretch of river though....
  2. ..or Bettman drops the opening puck and the stick swing takes his head off and ends his nonsense for ever... Canucks in OT !
  3. McCrae has been party central for years/decades. I use to drop my Quality Manager off at the bottom of the rapids coming out of it, into GBay, on Friday of the May 24 weekend and he'd walk all the way to the party thru the bush. I'm pretty sure most of the road, off 400/69, is now posted no parking, in an effort to curb this.
  4. Neither suggested crimp on connectors Mike (although you probably could get away with it). Terry is suggesting RCA plugs.. like the stereo/DVD cords to your TV. Erich is suggested BNC connectors similar to what you'd find on a radio antenna.
  5. He's got better things to do during the day.. like chase 30 kids vs the 2000 here. Guess who has Wi Fi now.
  6. Most local garages sell them, as the truck makes the rounds and keeps them in stock of one or two of each model. Go here http://www.interstatebatteries.com/cs_eStore/Products/RT/PID-SRM-27(Automotive+Truck).aspx?dsNavigation=Nrc~id-3%2CN~4294784989-4290241168-4283757888&Title=Pure+Lead+SRM27+replacement++battery and enter your postal code.
  7. Great stuff Ryan... I just slapped my stickers on the truck and the boat.
  8. Great to see you putting that boat to regular usage Paul!.. and with the wife, can't beat that.
  9. He seems to be doing it right Mike... the bugger even trolls with them tip forward and doesn't break them! (unless of course that's why he ordered 4 more )
  10. I forgot about the other spot. I went to put the top cover on to store it... as I just had it folded and resting across the boat gunnels with the cup holders holding it up. Open the folds up and two of the three sections are FULL of shredded nuts and piss trails. Amazing they didn't eat thru it. Spray nine did a fair job on the trails..
  11. Well I thought I was done with them... but they weren't done with me. Despite a few traps in the boat and the bucket and peanut butter bottle trick trying to be sure I had them out, they been alive and well in her. While getting the boat ready to go North, I found a new nest in the bow storage compartment sans mice and thought maybe I just missed it with it being in the little cardboard box I have up there. Then I noticed a mess on the floor by my nets as I was stowing my tackle boxes. Look in my $280 Stowmaster "tennis" bag and see insulation. DAMN... throw it out of the boat and again no mice, but the buggers ate my net!!! I'm not a Newf like Misfish... so I repaired it using tie wraps as I don't know how to use a net darning shuttle!!
  12. Playing with the dash TV screen in my F150 and all the settings and features is much more dangerous than talking on a cell phone! Probably more dangerous than texting..
  13. Dan, hopefully I'll know more this week. They'd better come up with a surgery date soon to give us so that we can plan some stuff. They can't leave her too far after the last chemo or the tumor will just start growing out of the bone again. I'm heading North Thursday, until Monday, and dumb me told a customer to bring his wings here on Tuesday so I have to be back. After that if we have a surgery date and it happens to be the first week of July then we'll head back up to Temagami for some RnR before Jen's surgery. If that happens we can get together and would be honoured to meet your brother.. oh and you! PM me again where you are staying etc. I think we did this already and I'll have a peak thru my inbox.
  14. Touch base before you go Dan (presume a week from this Saturday). Not sure where we'll be at. Can't make any plans yet 'till we get a surgery date. Wayne
  15. Other than the houseboats not much Dan. The TLA has a radio service in the main part of the summer monitored by students... that was in place before there was phone service on the lake. Many have phones now, but there is still some that use it for guest pick up, or if you're in distress. Not sure.. but I think Boatline Bay monitors for tow jobs. Best chance for "friendly banter" would be the house boats. I think Leisure Islands are on 68 but you could fire them an email to find out. I always just leave mine of 16 in case someone starts screaming they've hit a shoal ! http://www.leisureislandhouseboats.com
  16. I walk into Ford.. and Rick discounts the vehicle to allow $495 dealer profit. Simple as that and not worth my time to go elsewhere and play mind games.
  17. What Bill said. That 5.4 (Triton I presume) is already making the most it can in stock configuration. No point needing ear plugs for the highway drive... Love my 112C
  18. Even prepaid maintenance with Ford has to be honoured at any Ford dealership per the service schedule.
  19. Yah.. but I don't fly with my eyes closed like you do Terry!
  20. Even if he hadn't Mike... from the shot above I can tell you the airplane he's in and where that is. They are just passing over Brown's lake. The rock face in the upper right end of what looks like a channel is the west end of Sandy Inlet. Nice spot on the rocks there for a picnic if you don't mind snakes!
  21. Maybe he could water ski behind the plane..... The bridge is gonna suck though... I'm not going under it !
  22. Thanks for the ride in JKT... I'd say you're right over top of our winter Brookie lake (Brown's Lake) in that shot! What lake you get dropped in... looks like Diamond.
