  1. An automatic copyright on art... Even though you've bought an original oil painting, or such, from an artist... unless you have also purchased the copyrights and have paperwork to prove so the artist can come and collect your long paid for art to photograph so that they can do prints from same and then return you the original work.
  2. A women parked her WHITE KIA suv / car right in the middle of County Rd 6 yesterday in a wind prone / zero vis spot..... She put it in park and she had got out to start walking back to her house. Well my son sure found the invisible car.. and thank God missed her! What are these people thinking... hold the wheel straight and drive though the blowing snow as best you can or at least get to the side....especially when it's a road you've driven your entire life and you know it's STRAIGHT! Stroke one car. This morning I had to go 1/2 way to Barrie to pull my daughter out of the ditch. She had a driver of similar caliber do exactly the same thing this morning, but luckily she managed to miss the rear end of it by no more than a foot she guesses. Pulled her out and got her on her way.. followed her into Barrie to make sure she got to work as she hasn't been into the architect firm in the past 2 days. Told her to get a room at the hotel tonight vs coming home and that was a good decision as it's snowing HEAVY again and the wind hasn't stopped.
  3. Oh.. I can see this being a new contest at Bernie's... one guy on each handle and a coin flip to see who gets the throttle side!
  4. "Nothing huge".. most here would take any of those fish 8 days a week! Great stuff and some nice fish!
  5. Well at least I know why cty rd 6 is closed between the 12th and 13th... Son needs a new car! Some lady was nice enough to stop in the middle of the road and leave her WHITE car there!

They should be facing fraud charges if they offer $500 for a $3,500 vehicle.

A tiring game for sure John... but we all know the insurance industry is just legalized fraud to start with!

  6. LOL Shayne... I guess when I saw "it spins all over the ice" and viewed Thorpe's Rapala powered auger this morning I threw two and two together and got Zero! ...... Now I'm REALLY wondering how you do that to the blades on a manual...
  7. Probably the best you're gonna find without a bulk filling station.. there's a TSC in Lindsay on the back street that cuts the corner off behind the Ford dealership http://www.tscstores.com/189L-CLEAR-KEROSENE-P12718.aspx Works out to 2.33 a litre with them on sale 20% off right now. 25 + 10 = 35.. these are 18.9 litre cans so two would cover you. Of course you might wanna call and check stock first....
  8. Get it warmed up and running good... remove cover...drill hole... flush hole if you like.. pull auger out and blip the throttle to throw the water off. Shut off and then set it carefully on one handle (with fuel filler up) and cutting blades resting on cover cap until it dries/water freezes. Put cover on... Repeat.. (and NEVER put your hand on the auger shaft if the engine is still running!)
  9. No he bangs that to get the ice off the hole fm ! Those blades look like you let your neighbour drill post holes with it! Guess that model doesn't have a centering pin.. looks similar to the Strikemaster
  10. Just remember guys... if you like Laker fishing.. them fish love 52*F water and if you know your lake well, try to find those underwater springs!
  11. Did you lose the centering bit / spade off of it?
  12. Don't tell the guys Mike... but that's why I always shovel my spot to clear ice before I set up !! ;0)
  13. For similar reasons it doesn't on the earths surface. It gets 2* colder for every 1000 feet you rise generally. Water.. frozen on surface of the lake, works as an insulator, otherwise it would simply freeze right to the bottom no? The bottom of the lake has the warmth of the earth coming out of it, warming the water around it. It could be for only a few feet or many. I'm sure there's some pretty good convection currents going on down drawing colder water down and in as warmer goes up.. repeat..
  14. Might snow..

Might snow......look out the window Wayne. :o(

  15. Why do you think all them fish love to hang out at bottom in the winter... it's warmer down there!!!
  16. You would think they'd have gone with any colour but White! Both for visibility safety and free warmth from the sun with a colour.
  17. Bigbuuck... just pull the main and don't worry about the place or the chance squirrels might short a wire out while you're absent. Decide to go up for the weekend.. just throw the main back in and the place will be up to heat in under 4 hours, less if you throw a few logs in the fire. What we do in Temagami... and it was comfy with slippers in 3 hours on New Years Eve when it was -32C outside! Leave.. pull the main and go home! Oh.. do you have a '81 with Shannon Tweed as a natural women?
  18. If you want to fish in Beaverton tomorrow... just start in Bradford and pop your hut up.. but hold on tight!

  20. Great stuff Pete! There's a 50 out there with your name on it somewhere..
  21. Yep they're propagating a propane shortage... .. still trade you for my oil fill today, last filled Dec 30th, at $838.63 and I've also burnt 2 full face cords of oak and maple in the same time frame as well. The joys of having to keep the house at 23.5C so Jen's comfy.
  22. Just imagine the extra cheek fillet on that one...
  23. Nice Simon.. were there fish in that video? The thing I remember the most about Antigua and snorkeling.. don't touch the fire coral !
  24. Thanks for taking me back Simon.. one of Leah and I's favourite places to hide on Antigua. Too bad no where to get a beverage anymore..... Been almost 20 years since we laid on that beach!
