"GIVE TILL IT HURTS, AND THEN DOUBLE IT !!!"
-
Not sure about NAPA but I get it from Carquest, do a google search to find a store around Dunville
-
Very sorry to hear about your loss, our condolences to you and the family.

Those are farm raised bass (aka green bass), no different then farm raised live rainbow trout you see at Loblaws and other supermarkets.

for LCX 27C software update version 2.4.0 came out 30.9.2008, Go to 'Manu 'System Setup' then 'Software Information' OR when you fist turn the unit ON the software version is displayed in the bottom left corner but only for a second or two. Your problem might not be software related BUT the first question anybody offering tech help will ask is What software you running?
-
You bought it from Jos @ Angling Outfitters? in that case you have nothing to worry about, give him a call and he will walk you through the proper setup. what is the software version? 2.4.0 is what you should have.

Like mentioned above, make sure the new pedal is the right one for your TM, Also make sure its plugged all the way in, I had that problem where it looked as thogh it was plugged in but only moved the prop not steering, after pushing it in properly it worked fine.

Natural species won't be doing well if people keep pulling them out OOS, with crappy-tire rod and reel or whatever, as other poster mentioned by the time they get back to their nests their eggs are eaten by pan fish. sorry you are offended, just calling it the way it is, BTW, I don't have a $40,000 boat, just a couple of rods and reels and a regulation book. good luck next Saturday, you have the right attitude
-
I don't see a single rockbass in any of the pictures if the big one is the same fish then I wonder if it survived that long out of the water.
-
One bass is a surprise........maybe two, NOT that many, when you start getting that many OOS bass in an area you have to stop fishing that area for obvious reasons, you just edited your post where you stated/thought June 15th was bass opener, I saw that! Besides even if you knew they were OOS, taking pictures on the dock and calling them your PB
-
Nice big smallies, how deep is around your dock? Looks like you were pulling them right out of their nests. Huntsville area is Zone 15 , bass season opens 4th Saturday in June, unless there is an exception I don't know about.

The top one is just an oil stainer, its a Yamaha power head, if thats the one in your motor and the screen is not damaged Just clean it with some solvent, dry and put it back. no need to replace.
-
Very nicely done, professional work! I like the way you angled the transducer mounting board, If its worth doing, its worth doing it right........ the first time!!

I think I know what you're talking about, there is a gap between the top and underside of Crestliner dash, that makes it impossible to reinforce it from underneath get a 4"x4" (1/8 or thicker aluminum plate) or as wide as you can fit on top, secure it with 3M 4200 adhesive and 4xSS screws in each corner, (that will cover and seal most of old holes too) let it dry for a day and then secure your RAM base with same adhesive and some SS screws on that plate, for your wires, drill a hole on the side if speedometer housing, once you run the wires, seal that with the same adhesive, now the water will not leak below because the hole is higher, if your RAM mount moves in rough water, let it sit all the way forward and down on top of fuel gauge with a piece of pipe insulation under it. that keeps the stress off the dash too. that's what I did and it works great with a heavy 7" lowrance sonar/GPS.

Give Paul a call @ Soldiers Bay Marine, they are located at Holland Landing, ask him what it'll cost, he does honest work. 905-953-0193

For trolling I like a reel with line counter, a proven and very decent reel is Daiwa Sealine for around $110, match that with a Daiwa Heartland 8' 6" rigger rod, $30, I have been using the above combos for Lk.Ont kings for the last 5 years, never a problem.
-
Raf is correct, if you're talking about the chart below(on the left) 4th/5th line from top explains it http://www.luhrjensen.com/downloads/tech-r...2DipsyDiver.pdf those depths are (roughly) calculated based on 2.5 to 3.0 MPH trolling speed with 20 lb mono,
-
Cabelas spinning Prodigy is made by Daiwa for sure, however this round baitaster doesn't appear to be made by Daiwa, my guess its an Okuma, that's just my observation.
-
Unless there are 2 others laying on the floor(which is not likely) he is fishing alone. and NO there is no baby in the crib what you see in the front is an empty chair or a boat seat, there is no one else sitting in that boat!! his placement of planer boards indicates that he knows how to run the spread, some one who really knows his stuff and does it all the time.

If its not too far of a drive for you I highly recommend Soldiers Bay Marine @ Holland Landing (just north of New Market) 905-953-0193 call first and speak to Paul, give him your trailer Model # etc, see if he'll do it, really worth it and not much more money then you buying all the parts and aggravation, specially if you're not handy with tools etc.
-
What make is your boat trailer & Where you located?

I find for bottom bouncing it is handy to have a reel with a flipping switch, you just press the thumb bar when the depth increases, I use a Quantum Accurist PT (discontinued but you can still find old stock at a great price) Quantum now makes the new "Code Red" and "Walleye Grade", both with flipping switch (but they don't have PT gears and bearings). as for bass fishing in heavy cover, I like my Daiwa Zillion and Daiwa Luna(round), they both work well for pike too and the Luna for Musky as well, Shimano Curado is also a good choice. If you haven't used a baitcaster before, it takes a bit to get used to, my advice is to get the best you can afford, a higher end reel will be generally smoother, have a better cast control and that means less birdsnests, once you get the hang of it, you'll love it!

Basspro in Vaughn Mills has them, I have bought them there.

Craig_Ritchie, Daiwa still makes the Whisker, its made in China now instead of Japan, SS II has been discontinued.
