i'm seeing conflicting opinions Roy. some guys are saying they're fine, some say the really aggressive mud terrains will be aweful but 'tamer' versions will be fine. i could get mine siped for very little $$$ if that will make a difference. mine have holes for studs but of course, that's not legal in ON.
i also have a set of mud&snow no-seasons that i could put on.. they're far from new but would likely do the winter.
i currently have a set of mud terrains on my cherokee.. how will they handle the white stuff? will 'siping' make a big difference? not sure how much life cherry has left in her & would prefer not to buy a new set of all-terrains or snows.
check out the quantum cabo cbc30(1)pts if you're looking for a low-pro muskie type reel. have been using two of them for a couple of years rizzo. a lil cheaper than the curados and revo.
i wouldn't use it to pull double 13s blades but it works for just about everything else; great for jerkbaits, topwaters.
the dueler a/t revos billy bob posted are probably the best a/t tire going right now.. they're also about twice the price of the tires posted in this thread.
road noise? i thought that's what stereos are for.
do it once and do it right, spend the $$$ on goretex. i have the bps 100mph bibs and the cabela's guidewear jacket (i don't like the nascar'esque gawdy advertising the bps 100mph suits have) they will be the last rain apparel you will buy. both offer lifetime warranty.. if they leak, bring them back and you will get replacements on the spot.
mine are un-insulated but i buy a size larger so that i can layer up underneath during the cold months and still be comfortable in the summer. they're breathable so no sweating your balls off.
posting anything on a public forum opens it up. take it to a private site or don't post it at all.
you cannot control what others will say but you can do your part.
i can't see the pic of the boat (blocked at work).. some people cannot use the s10s if they have wide gunwales ie. the clamps when fully opened, don't fit over them.
