  1. Nice shots! To the Cherokee. What kind of a lift do you have on it?
  2. mattyk, that explains bumping into you at the Port Perry launch. You get homesick!
  3. Gary, where did you pick up the truck-tent? Who makes it? Looks interesting.
  4. No delete is not available to us mere members. Prolly an admin/mod only function.
  5. Here are some of the bigger buys. 8' St. Croix Glass Composite muskie trolling rod. Handles the huge baits just great. Softer tip but tons of backbone. 8' St. Croix Premier MH muskie rod. I use this for bootails and straight line topwaters. I think I can launch a bait across Lake O. The longer length also makes figure 8'ing a breeze. 8'6" Shimano Clarus M . I really like this multi-purpose rod . I can use it to chuck spoons, pull smaller planer boards, long lining for trout and will hopefully try it in the tribs this winter. 2x Quantum Cabo CBC31PTS reels. These are low-profile saltwater baitcasters. They look like a bass reel on steroids and have more line capacity than my 6501s. I've stuck one on my jerkbait rod and the other on my topwater/bootail 8' rod. I fully expected to burn the gears out on bootails but she held up. The 5.7:1 ratio seems to make it easier to get those bootails "on plane" than my Abu 6501s and on the jerkbait side, retrieves line quicker. I throw jerkbaits as big as 13" and the reel handled those like a champ. I'd like to get a 7001 for burning baits but it just doesn't exist!! I've also used it for pulling dipseys in the spring. My GF got fed up with rods down the middle of the truck and go me one of those strap truck roof rack systems for rod storage. No more rods banging around. They now suspend nicely from the ceiling of the truck. My cherokee is just long enough that the 8'ers fit lengthwise with a slight bend at the windshield. I am sure there's more but that's all I can think of right now.
  6. Congratulations you two. Fabulous catches and like mentioned above, I wouldn't sweat the non-release. It happens.
  7. Scrooge here. I'd like to see a no-frills version with a little less bells and whistles.
  8. Congrats!! Never did organized rally cross Stein. I've done some solo2 and the car saw time at the drag strip.
  9. Stein those little AWD sports/rally cars are tanks in the snow. I used to own an Eagle Talon AWD and people were amazed at where it could go with a proper set of snows. I distinctly remember last winter, seeing several trucks stuck. My little talon would push on, acting like a plow, snow flying over the hood/windshield. Ahh memories. To the original poster, try Tire World in Brampton. Just east of Dixie on Steeles (If I remember right). I've been getting my tires from them for years and they are usually the most competitive.
  10. Well, we've had some snowfall in southern Ont recently so mail delivery should resume soon.
  11. Ahh memories Bill. That first pic is no fun when the level is up like that and you're knee deep in 45 deg water trying to unload the boat. Like Dan is.
  12. Well if you are convinced the motor is working ok, possibly the wiper arm transmission ( I dont know the proper name for it ) it's a series of metal arms connected by 'joints' that runs from your wiper motor to your wiper arms. I've had these arms pop out of these 'joints' but the problem is not intermittent. Once they pop out they don't pop in on their own. Are your wiper arms themselves loose maybe? Sorry not much help. Next time they dont work, pop off the vents that cover the motor/transmission and have a looksy.
  13. Thank you Roy. Dec. 15th it is!
  14. It seems to be right on the border, is it Div 6 or Div 15?
  15. Thanks for the offer. I've entered the contest and am feeling lucky. I'll pick up a copy when they show up on shelves here.
  16. welcome to the board. my suggestion for muskies is the new moon period in august. if your quarry is large pike, ice out.
  17. No, you guys see me write. That's definately not it.
  18. uh oh, what did I do? thanks Phil. the mag takes a few days/weeks to get here after the US release, you know, dog sled teams and all. I'll be sure to grab a copy.
  19. I don't believe this is a 'free site' in the sense that someone has to pay for the software license, bandwidth & space (ie. TJ) The google ads I am sure help offset that cost.
  20. What is hleps transliterated?
