That's a good decision. The neighbouring lake, little redstone, has great bass fishing.

The only info i can offer is that the lake is closed completely from December 1 to 3rd Saturday in May as a sanctuary. The lake trout season may differ from other lakes in fmz 15, so should be checked. There might be largemouth in the lake. I have heard of catches in the connected lakes.

7-mainly bass fishing. I found I had to move around a lot to get numbers. There are some real tanks in there though.

It's perfect. There should be no excuses. Hopefully he will think twice about keeping more than permitted in the future.

I know many have mentioned Emily Park, but the lake is getting a super amount of pressure this year and the fishing is suffering from my experience. Pick a nice small lake in Haliburton County around West Guilford, you will enjoy the lower amount of boat traffic and no deer flies.

I thought I would try for some crappie the other day. No crappie, but ran into this girl.

I got a nice surprise on my last outing to Simcoe. It was released to surprise some one else.

Some that got off half way up eventually came to the top and the birds scooped them.

A week ago I was enjoying the warmth of Costa Rica, now it's ice time. Got out in zone 18 over the past weekend and got lucky to get a few tasties for the table.

It was a workout, that's for sure! They would hit as soon as the bait hit the bottom.

Was in Costa Rica recently on a last minute trip. Had some fun fishing with guys I met down there. I even caught a jack off the beach and lost some others. We did the best fishing in 400 feet of water, lol. We let the guys that took us out bring the fish to market to make some extra cash for themselves.

My suggestion is to find a place that has you stay in a cottage with all the amenities, then have them take you out to your hut for the day. Much more comfortable after a long day of fishing, more room to spread out and you can even have a shower. I don't find night fishing that great through the ice.

Nothing will change with the Leafs until the philosophy changes and there are only two ways to do that. Dubas and Babs have to go (Chris already said it). It's the same thing every game.

Nice fish! I should get back into taxidermy if that's what people are willing to pay now. It must have made a beautiful mount.

https://scugoglakestewards.com/ There are still walleye in that lake. I believe any lake that is within 2 hours of Toronto is fished heavily and has an impact on fish populations. Yes, people will say it's the introduction of Crappie or global warming, etc, but the lakes are definitely busier these days. I haven't heard much about the muskie lately. Just my opinion.

Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for them?

We stayed at Bear's Den. The walleye wouldn't cooperate either. That's fishing though!

Thanks Cliff, I will. The weird thing is one of the guys has a couple of cottages on a nice lake east of Parry Sound and we were joking that we would have did better there. However, there are no muskie in the lake.
