Even on the left coast I doubt that's a rod they'd ever use for steelhead Garry. Ironically enough the exact same two ways I said I would use the rod. I believe Steve Rowbotham likely nailed the rods "actual" purpose. A lighter line finesse rod for small tubes, dropshotting, etc..

So you're wearing stockingfoot waders? That's your problem. In winter you should switch to a good pair of 5mm neoprene BOOTFOOT waders with insulated boots. With the boots big enough to accomodate hvy socks and still leave wiggle room you're feet will be toasty. Well it's missing the mounting bracket.. I was actually thinking $300 firm. Anyone else have any thoughts? Is that fair? (edit: the bracket is on my boat which is being stored in Rouyn. I'll be able to remove it next spring)

Wasn't sure where to post this so I'm posting it here. I have one of these units along with the foot pedal. It was bought new about 6 years ago and used VERY sporadically at my water access camp in QC. Sporadically because we're off the grid and charging is a pain. It's in great shape, works fine but is missing the mounting plate. Any idea what this would be worth? I have absolutely no clue and want to get rid of it. PM's would be fine. Thanks guys.
