  1. Rolly does good work, I've had him replace a few guides. He's in Bowmanville though, not Belleville. Mike if you are heading this way before muskie season I can get it to Rolly and back to you for opener... Pete
  2. I've used a few different ones from Canadian Tire, and if you can pick one up when they are on sale they do work ok, but are a bit more of a hassle with the straps etc. They also are prone to wearing/tearing on any rough edges on your boat where the cover will contact when trailering. $500 for a dealer made snap down cover which will fit your boat perfect is a pretty good deal. It's on my wish list for this year. Pete
  3. HAHAHAHAHA and Jeremy gets busted! Just kidding bud... well sort of.........!
  4. Yes - I saw good brand name external DVD drives for only $30-40 at Canada Computers the other day - pretty good deal
  5. Not hammer drill... Bye bye blades! You can turn off that setting.
  6. Awesome video Kevin! Some great shots and fish there.
  7. Happy new year Bunk - glad to hear that you have been able to take control of your time. I made a big career change just over two years ago, reclaiming my weekends and overall quality of life back and it was the best thing I have ever done. As for the fishing pics... you just make it look so easy. I bet if you went after a yellow perch on a whim you would end up with a 4 pounder. Cheers Pete
  8. Thanks Brad. I gave them a call, they are closed till Jan 4 but it's not like there will be ice by then anyways lol... will try them then. Brian - I had that same thought about maybe cutting the poles an inch shorter... might just do that. Cheers Pete
  9. I think I know the place you are talking about - Gerrard/Woodbine?
  10. I was getting the ice gear organized the other day and noticed that my pop up needs some repairs. The poles inside the hut slip into 'fabric pockets' in the 4 corners, and these pockets are wearing thru. One of the poles has poked thru it already. Anyone had repairs done on an ice shelter in the GTA? Thanks Pete
  11. I have the Elite 5, which came with the gold chip. I sold the gold chip a few years ago and bought the Kawarthas chip (Platinum I think?) with the more detailed lake contours. That was before the chip upgrades with individual downloadable lakes etc. were available though...
  12. Like Brad said, 80 is not overkill on even a smaller pontoon, you will be thankful for the extra power whenever there is any wind. SAIL does not display that many models of trolling motors in the store, but I'm almost positive they can get any of the Minn Kotas in for you. Are you thinking the Powerdrive or Terrova? Make sure you talk to an expert about proper shaft length for your pontoon. Wait until they have their 15% off sales (on right now, and every few months) and you will get a great deal. Remember too that 70 and up will be a 24V system - so 2 batteries needed. Maybe a different charger (2 bank)...
  13. Yeah sadly if the manufacturer didn't put that on there, someone would see $$$$$ and try using it just to launch a lawsuit... pretty sad. Even a cup of coffee these days has a "warning : hot liquid" on it... good thing, because I may have been SOOOO tempted to pour it on my lap... LOL
  14. Merry Christmas to everyone here on OFC!

  15. Yes it does. It came with a disc with around 700 songs in that format.
  16. Kind of a longshot here, but here it is... my wife is a Karaoke nut, I got her a new upgraded machine for Christmas that plays songs from CD/DVD, USB key or SD card. Regular MP3 files obviously just play with sound but no video, but this machine uses MP3+G files to play the music with the lyrics on the TV screen. Does anyone know where to find music in this MP3+G format, or some sort of software converter do make them into this format? Youtube has all kinds of songs with lyrics on the screen, but the programs I have only convert the files into MPEG4 format which does not work on this machine. Thanks - hoping someone here knows. Cheers Pete
  17. Yup exactly what the guys above said. I use Orcas for dipseys and Rocket Launchers when cat or carp fishing. The Rocket launchers twist too much under load.
  18. Beauty Steve! Way to get the lure back in the water and get her the second time.
  19. I've been thinking of doing the same. Did you guys buy the 'submersible' ones or just the regular LED's? The price is pretty much double for the submersible if I can remember correctly.
  20. Holy crap. That is insane!
  21. Wow Mike really nice collection of bass there. Lots of quality fish and great pics. Can't wait to see you crack that 7, it's gonna happen sooner or later! Pete
