If I wore a life jacket, I wouldn't need any "safety" equipment to be legal due to the size of the craft and me only using an electric motor. But since I don't want to wear a life jacket I need the essentials. I'm not even going to get into the life jacket debate as I'm sure everyone has an opinion and as of right now I don't have to wear one if I don't want to.

Take the kid carp fishing with a can of corn, even if he doesn't land one he'll be hooked trying to!

Just want some feed back to make sure I have my arse covered here. I have a 14 foot tinny and I'm putting a 50# thrust trolling motor on it. Since I don't want to wear my life jacket I assume I need to follow the rules for a Sail and Powered Please Craft up to 6 M. If I understand this correctly I need : A life jacket for everyone on board. A bailer (I'm buying the $9.99 kit from CTC comes with a whistle and a bouyant line) A bouyant heaving line. A water tight flash light. I also plan on having two home made anchors and a paddle, even though I don't think its required. (again, if I understand correctly) Let me know if you guys have any suggestions? Or if I misinterpreted the rules.

Awesome deal! I got a sweet deal similar on another fishing forum. 50# Minn Kota & marine battery for $100! Usually people lie about the condition... I believe this guy when he said he's had it in the water once! Sometimes you get great deals online, sometimes you deal with jerks. The good deals always make it worth it!

Met a fellow OFC'er Rob D. @ the welland rec canal. He wasn't liking the looks of the wind. So we hit up the other side and went searching for some Dain City pike. Most of the day was spent trolling both banks up and down. Most of our fish were caught on the walleye harnesses made by Rob. We were putting minnows on the hooks and trolling behind the boat with some splitshot. I landed a rock bass, catfish, and there were a couple oos smallies. But after some presistance I got what we were out for : Was a great day and met a cool dude. Look forward to some more fishing missions soon!

Marinol is amazing! I'd quit smoking if I could get a legitimate prescription. I just need to find a more progressive doctor in the niagara region. I'm currently using a very VERY expensive drug (NEXIUM) to prevent my acid reflux symptoms.... street drugs are cheaper believe it or not.

In no way do I think it would cure his issue, but at least life would be manageable with no pain. Talk to your doctor if you are just "living" with it and doing nothing to treat the suffering!!!

You should try some green...fisherman!

Check out this site and go talk to your doctor! http://www.torontocompassioncentre.org/ ONE LOVE!

HAHAHA, It would be tough to setup a 53 foot long pole in a 14 foot tinny!
-
Thats awesome, brought a tear to my eye!
-
For sure! Its neat and I'm interested to try fishing with a cane pole (just for matches). You chum a little area, then just place your bait exactly in that spot. As for fishing for fun I'd much prefer casting and retrieving.
-
Hahaha. It was my first match. We had 30 mins to setup our gear. Took me about 2 mins to tie a hook, squish on a splitshot, and open a can of corn.... The rest of the time was spent starring at all these guys with all this gear!!!!

HOLY CRAP FOR CARP!

Seriously it was huge... #1 : #2 : #3 : This was my first time attending a match fishing event. And I'm hooked! Looking forward to the next event in Niagara Falls @ Fireman's Park. I'm not affiliated with this group, was just invited to join in on the last match. It was my first and I'm positive it won't be my last! Tons of fun and met some really nice people!

Got off work on May 23rd around 3PM in the afternoon. Rounded up the dogs and packed up the van. By the time I got the rest of the family and everything was settled we were there about 7:30 PM. We joined family at a different cottage across the bay for dinner... I was able to sneak in 10-15 casts with my 5 of diamonds but no luck. Albeit I've never fished off her shore before. Put the little guy to bed, and was able to relax on the dock. The first night we managed to land a couple of small cat fish and more rock bass than you can count. I even reeled in to go use the out house but I set my rod on the dock. The worm was dangling above the water a good few inches. A hungry rock bass actually jumped out of the water and hit it twice....hooking himself on the third strike. If my brother-in-law wasn't there I would of been swimming for that rod! I made it out in the Lund twice on Monday once in the morning and once after dinner time. Mark was using worms and I was trying everything under the sun. I got two follows from some HUGE pike on a double willow gold/silver 1/2OZ glimmer shad. No idea on how big these guys were. But they would follow me from the shore to the boat but turn away the second they were near. After reading fishin 24/7's post I figure I should invest in some of the realistic swim baits to turn those followers into commitment!!! I spent the rest of my time casting off the front dock and just enjoying the beautiful weather with my family. I forgot my camera when I was with people as it was all about spending time with family, but here's a few shots I managed to snap... Early morning canoe ride with the little guy: View off the back of the island just after dinner time: Only time I had a camera while fishing : And I was by myself... She was too lively to even bother taking measurements or weight, plus I figured I had to snap at least one picture since I was telling everyone about how awesome the pike fishing is in Parry Sound! I'll be heading back up soon with my re-furbished Spirngbok and this time I will definitely be bringing some life like swim baits!

I'm sure NRP will get right on top of that one.

I believe you are just talking about Irish only. But I appreciate your input, it is more through than Irish's information. My lawyer told me face to face he does the basic search with the city and if nothing comes back red they purchase the insurance and sign it over. But no one ever said lawyers are honest... -

lol "what.. the septic isn't to code nor is there anything on the health department books that it exsists" That's the same as someone else property existing on your property. Encroachment is something completely different than your experience... We'll see what happens! I'm at home now and I can relax, lol. I'm over it, sorry if I came off as an ass...
