  1. WOW you can fit a whole map in it. Water proof and readable
  2. Hey BIF (all that knows it all) stop hijacking the thread
  3. Wow I seen alot, and worse...Maybe? a bunch of us Army guys are Smoking and Joking during a rain storm and one of the guys (attention seeker) betted us that he would pick up worms off the road(ashfault) and eat it. No Problems he downed 1,2,3,4. (we're bored now) Butt!!!!!!! His Girlfriend (shes a looker) drives up and gives him his lunch. EWWWW they swap spit. hes married to her and is still Serving Point is YEA you can eat them- but BOIL them first. other wise from my experience, they do not taste good
  4. As a kid I used to enjoy Taps Tips in one of the Yankee Magazines. I would like to see a thread where we have picked up tips that work so we all can learn and use. I will start with a few that have worked for me - Boil Patatoes and use the water to shine your spoons and spinners - if you have a coil that came off your spinning reel prematurely tighten the drag and pull it till it untangles or take the spool off and flip it then pull the line out -nail polish and thread for guide wrappings -Twisted spinning line, troll with nothing on it till it settles -Tie a long rope between (vehical and boat) then free launch ( by yourself) -Test drag using the rod -red lenses to catch nite crawlers -for portageing and fishing carry a netted (Laundry) bag (with a rock its an instant anchor) -Garbage bag inside packs to keep clothes dry. Keep wood dry. Pail and bag its a sh##tter. - cheap tarp over tent extra dry precaution any more
  5. Yea Ive done the same thing every winter (summer too). Ill watch fishing shows and play with my reels. just today on my day off I went and bought some Topo maps again, at the Conservation office here in North Battleford Sask. Talked to the same Cons officer as last week. He gave me some good info. I used too grease all my reels but now the way theyre made Im afraid I might loose or mis- align a component. glad Im not the only one that plays with tackle!
  6. Again, Check out CAA and CR before making that big purchase. Id like to buy a car where the warranty will outlast the payments. All I know is that I owned a new Hyundai Pony in 87, a new Nisson Multi in 90, a new Sentra in 94 and now a 99 Civic I bought last year with 101,000 KMs for less than $6000 and no warranty, but chances are its going to last for 300,000 Kms. I now have 127,000 with only oil changes. If you buy new make sure the warranty outlasts the payments, if thats possible. My wife bought a 5 year old Mazda protege that lasted 6 years with only minor repairs. Again it was a car that was less than $5,ooo dollars and had about 57,000 Kms. I figure you got to be either rich, or stupid to buy brand new these days. Jap cars rule and if it wasnt for import taxes, we would not have any domestic cars or jobs. Junk, junk and poor warrantys. Seems like the only people that like domestic HERE, are the prod workers and mechanics.
  7. Why dont you check the Consumer Reports and the CAA Auto Opinion. Both are NOT backed by any car manafacturers (Road and Track etc) ie they are neutral. As far as I am concerned, I will never buy new and I will never buy domestic, UNLESS they have been found to be reliable by CR or CAA. until domestic stops ripping us/me, I will buy Jap/even Korean. I dont care if people loose their jobs. Maybe they will stop making junk and earn their high pay. The Pontiac Aztec is one of the cars that CR has deemed to avoid. Not sure about the Equinox, chances are its junk too. Maybe thats why its got a name change. This is all my opinion though. Do your homework, dont get sucked in
  8. Thanks for the info
  9. Rick how come a couple of weeks ago I was able to attach an ICE RECCE Power point. I tryed another attachement that is similar but now I am un able to. I even tryed with the PP that had previously worked but now it doesnt. Whats UP?

  11. Lets see if I can make this attachment At this point I am unable to attach the lessons. Hopefully I can figure a way
  12. A few notes for those that are interested -When you open the Power Point go to the tool bar and hit View/Slideshow. use the enter button on the keyboard to enjoy the animation. Esc Button on the keyboard to get out. -Never, Never, relie on GPS solely. -Based on a CFB Wainwright Map and MGS(Military Grid System), but those that understand can use this lesson as a template and change to any TOPO map as long as they change the Questions and answers to pertain to the particular map. Any Questions PM me Id be happy to help Enjoy and happy New Year

  22. Get your Parts from a Scrap Yard. Buy a Haynes Book from Canadian Tire with the Model of your Car. Buy a Case of Beer for your friend the Mechanical do-it yourselfer if things are too complicated for your self. And plse dont sell the car to another dealer where he will rip someone that is unsuspecting. If you Buy another car, do your homework buy reading Consumers Report or CAA Auto Opinion. Good second hand Cars are Hyundai, Escort, otherwise pay more for Jap, the cheaper being Mazda
