Question for you Quebec / Pembrooke area folks...
holdfast replied to The Urban Fisherman's topic in General Discussion
As Far as I know unless it changed, you need a Quebec License if your fishing the Quebec side except the Ottawa River. As far as the Ottawa River thats a good Question. I know as an Ontario Resident my On License was good on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River unless it changed. As far as fish from the Ottawa R besides Bass. In that Area you got Northern Pike, Tons of Cat fish, Rarely but theyre there, Sturgeon, Gar Pike. Lots of Walleye. Apparently there is Musky, and Perch, but I rearly caught them. As far as Quebec area Lakes, I always wanted to fish them because there are lots, not Popular, and far as I was told from some Quebec Locals, Excellent trout Lakes. Dont forget Lac Beauchene is not far from where you would be. Read your Ontario Reqs for the Ottawa River just to be on the safe side. -
I Finally was able to take a PowerPoint that was sent to from a Buddy awhile ago. Unfortunately we lost more Soldiers recently. I figured that If the Mods allow me, that you will find these photos very touching, especially for the Families that have to endear this horrible trip from Trenton to Toronto. As a Soldier I found these Photos very compelling and sad, yet inspired. I'm sure the PowerPoint has gone around many Army Units in Canada. I Cant tell you who or when, but what is important, is that we salute our Heroes. Just take a few minutes and try not think that they didnt die for someones agenda, but actually believed what they were doing it for Canada. Unfortunately there will be more, God Bless them. Rob The families and Hearst's are awaiting for the Plane that are bringing Home our Heroes The arrival of the Plane The first casket. I imagine there will be a set of Pallbearers from Afghanistan including closets friends and a Senior NCO or officer, that will escort the caskets. Its a sad Moment for sure even including the Aircrew that brought our Hero Home The convoy is just outside the Gates of the Air Base. In the Background are the CFB Trenton Buildings along the Runway. I thought I would never ever see our Vets saluting our soldiers now. I always thought that they would make the supreme sacrifice and our generation would not be ever worthy. I was wrong. The white car would be a Military Police vehicle Along the stretch would be Firefighters and Police saluting There will be more than 50 such Bridges between Trenton and Toronto with Police, Firemen, Paramedics, as well as the ordinary person that will give their last respects for our fallen soldiers. When I first seen these Photos, I was amazed that so many people would pay tribute. We always hear the negative side of things. Trust me, our Soldiers really appreciate this more than you can ever know. I can guess how the cameraman, that took these photos must of felt, as well as the rest of the motorcade. This is a great tribute also to the families that have to endure this trip I would love to sit down and buy this guy a beer. Awesome Picture for sure. Arriving in Toronto to the Coroners office. Our Heroes

I asked a Home Theatre question a while ago and settled for the RCA 250 Watt sold at CT on sale $119. Tried it today and I got to say I'm satisfied for what I want it for. Underneath the Stairwell. Thanks to Cmtt ( thanks Cliff for the insperation last season) with his outboard mount last year I got back to my handyman ways. I admit I'm not that good. So keep your professionalism to yourselves. This is for the non Handyman or weekend warrior. Here is a couple of Pics Your looking at the entrance to a 4.5' by 7.5' stairwell room with the fuse box. Underneath the stairs itself there is a couple of extra feet. What I built is a tiny studio room. A real Man Cave. I built a cabinet out of 3/4 plywood and painted it red. ( No Danbo, its not really pink.) Threw a carpet in and my Cd's. As you enter to the right is the stair well. I covered the unfinished wall with painted peg board and built some shelves. Great for my hats and books/mags. The cabinet has my extra fishing gear stored. Underneath the stairwell I built a wheeled storage bin which also suffices as a back wall with a littler bit of Paint and OSB This picture shows the cabinet wheeled out. I thought of putting a bed there, then I shook my head. Now for the reason. I got a cheap TV for a Monitor. ( found it in the Garb with a note saying DVD player NS but TV works) My home theatre, and cheap CD Radio

Yup, as far as I can remember he pioneered the stretched camera optical illusions. Most shows do it and you'll even see it here with the pics. That's why I always use either a Reel or something to give the size some relativity as I don't weigh them
