Ha ha ha ha ha. Thanks , my coffee is all over me Do your Homework and Id say go for it. Other wise 10 years from now you ll be saying. Gees I should of tryed. When I was in Germany we lived on the Economy, meaning we rented from the Germans vice staying on base. We learned German within a year, while some of my peers had no clue after three years. Best thing about it, we made some great friends who were German and we had great experience through them. Unfortunately (or Fortunately) I got promoted and returned to Chilliwack after one year. But it is an experience that my family would of never known if we hadn't tried. Another great thing is my Daughter was born there, I guess shes part German.

Yup I agree, Ugly stick, Lightning rod, Cherrywood. However there is a great deal at Canadian Tire for an ABU Garcia 502 for 50 dollars as well as a Fenwick rod which I bought for the same price. Your buying a 200 dollar outfit for 100 dollars plus the tax. Best deal anywhere at a store.

Yup get the Cardinal 502 for 49.95 on sale at Canadian Tire. I also picked up a Fenwick rod on Sale at Canadian tire for 49.95. Trust me, I gave it the old Holdy rod test in the store and the tip held up. Not so much on the Shimanos. If theyre out of Fenwicks, get Uglystik like Coach says, Berkleys Lightning or Cherrywoods for about 40 Dollars. Careful on the Rapalas, the tips are brittle. Other reels to consider might be a Mitchell 300s, Daiwa Samurai for less than $100 with the rod.

Good for you Albert. Congrats

There is a Place called Val David where the Doncaster River flows close by. My brother had a place up there and we used to fish the river, as well as the slews around there for Brookies. The exit is on the 15 and I believe just past St Adel.

Happy Birthday Roy, now you treat yourself to a good Greek meal that Mtl is Famous for. If not at least a greasy Vincents or Belle province Submarine that I dearly miss, oh yea I forgot also a Molson Ex

Left my favourite rod/reel behind at the creek

My dad lost my Rod and reel I Lent ,while trolling the Petawawa River when it snagged a rock and landed in the Drink. A few seconds later I thought I had a hit but it was his line that I caught. I would Later give him that Rod and Reel as a gift. RIP Pops! -
Friday by the Time I got to the Trailer and cut the Grass I only had time to fish Cowan Lake in town. That outing lasted about two hours due to the weed growth. Anyways I waited till around 4 PM the next Day after I had given up on the Football game, Sask vs Mtl. Im assuming Mtl won. off to Hackett lake to do some Bait Casting with frozen Minnows. First I tried around 15 feet amongst some weeds and all I caught were Jack. It was only after I moved to a sunken Island that dropped off quicly to 23 feet that I caught a Couple of Walleye for dinner. My Ontario invasive fish posting Never did use the Spider cast, only trolled maybe an hour with the C4, but switched between the light Mitchell and Shakesphere If I could find my Fly vest I might try some Fly Fishing for small jack, could be a hoot.

Here's what I know for sure. My Daughter wants to get out of the Mortgage completely so she can Buy a Condominium. She would Qualify only if she is Mortgage free. CHEAPER Than Rent. He has given her $15,000 back to her which she had originally provided for Down Payment. He has tried to get his parents to sign the Mortgage in place of my daughter but they don't Qualify. He expects to keep the House and if they sell, my daughter will lose the Down Payment for a Condo due to realtor fees, penalties and chances are the house hasn't valued. They've only been there maybe 4 months at the most. Another question is, they have a four year amortization. What happens then, can she get out.

My Daughter bought a house recently with her Boyfriend and guess what. They split up. Now she wants out of the Morgage he wants the House. Its fine with my Daughter but the bank wont let her out of the Morgage. The EX Boyfriend tried to take the Morgage himself but of course the Bank says no. At this point they dont want to sell. Apparently he tried his parents but denied by the bank. Now my daughter wants me and my Wife to Buy her a house and she would would pay that morgage. There is no way I want to do this even though her Ex Boyfriend bought her out, knowing she is still on the Houise Morgage. Any Ideas how My Daughter can get out of her half of the Morgage as she is now stuck for any other Loans. I hope I made sense Thanks

Yea I learned the Hard way too. I decided since I had these Flares and the Flare gun for a couple of years after I bought then second hand with my boat I decided to see how accurate they would be in case I had to use it against an Attacking Bear. I was in Massasauga Park camped across an inlet ( Captains something it was called, I recall) maybe 40 meters wide and aimed at a tree. KA-Boom. Flare spins slowly and hits the dirt 3 Meters from me and I'm hoding just the Pistol grip as part of the Barrel was by my feet. Oh yea it was Dark so it took me about 3 minutes to get rid of that bright spot in my eyes so I could figure out where my Southern Comfort was. So you say there is an expiry date Eh- Well now I know.

Un-Like the Lemmings, i also agree. I like How and where he fishes, his Guests, His tricks, his Rants. As far as eating Fish, love his shore lunches, wish i was there. He doesn't wear billboards, talks about Flouracarbon and Okuma all day, AND, has these weird baits called Bubblegum and Yummy or whatever. Good show

Yup same thing in the Military. They love Pulling Wisdom Teeth and Giving Root Canals. I Sort of told them the Heck with the Root Canal. PULL IT. Its Quicker, and no doubt cheaper. But then again you may want to go through the aggravation as you may be better looking than me.

More Photos. looking Forward to try that Huge Lake Deleronde John. All I know is past the Narrows is great fishing. A days ride in my Boat if the water is calm I would say John caught most of the Walleye using a minnow. I was doing great till I lost my Micro Jig. For some reason I kept loosing my fisjh when brought up 2 Feet from the Surface. I tryed small hooks, Larger hooks. Deep Hook sets, Light hook sets, and no hook sets. Still they were letting go. Almost a dozen in a row.

If your Talking about the Sonar its an old Lowrance with the little rectangles. Really archaic and hard to tell fish, log, or weeds. I really use it for depth.

It Rained all Saturday and when it let up around 7 PM I had the itch so I loaded up the small Boat and Headed to a small lake called TOP Lake. Known for Perch and small Pike, I was hoping for the odd Walleye. There was only one other vehicle parked on this small Lake so I was almost alone. However two Girls showed up looking for their men and since I was about to go out, I offered to pass the message. I found them at the very end of the Lake and they were quite disappointed that they were summond. They said that they got some Bites in the area so I decided to drop anchor. Soon as I lowered my leach I got my biggest pickerel of the season. Since I haven't posted awhile Id like to say Hi to Coach and ROY It really got Dark fast and it started to Rain so I decided to head back in. Also my little Buddy was getting impatient Beautiful Calm water but unfortunately I heard the noise of chopping and Chainsaw in the Bush. Hopefully not a Cabin. I also passed this memorial on the shore close to a point. Don't know the story but my guess a drowning because it was in an Isolated spot. It could also been a makeshift camp site. Saturday I hooked up with JohnAB for the first time and had probably my second best ever Pickerel outing. I'm looking forward of his report on his SK Report as he has fished several places and hopefully save the best pictures for his report. Here's one of a good eater pike. Ill wait for Johns report before posting any other Pics. Had a great time with John. Thanks lets do it again.

Singing National Anthem every morning in NB schools
holdfast replied to holdfast's topic in General Discussion
That would be a Big Negative to you young fella. I suppose you would be the Goof that sits down while others face the Flag for respect during the Anthem. ( Love to see you pull that stunt in the States) Like it or not that flag is a symbol of the freedom that you enjoy. That flag is a National Symbol. I ask you, nicely, How in the world would you compare Canadian Nationality, Did you not agree we did the right thing to fight Hitler, to the Nazis and say the Revolutionary Guard in IRAN. Betcha when you tour outside North America you have a Canadian Flag stuck on the Knapp sac. by the way you dont have to sing it either to respect the anthem, chances are you dont even know the words and what they mean any hoot. -

Agreed and since when was Nationalism was a bad thing. Singing the National Anthem is paying respect to your Country. Again the New Brunswick Minister couldn't put it in better words. -
Cant get cheaper than XS Cargo http://www.shopxscargo.com/product_catalog...roduct_list.asp

Who ever stopped the Singing of the National anthem in schools and why. I sang it everyday in Elementary school in Quebec. At least I know the words. The New Brunswick Minister I think says it right. Speaking in the provincial legislature, Lamrock said the national anthem provides teachers with an opportunity to instill values of citizenship in students. "It is absolutely important in every school that we remind our children that to be citizens means that they are a part of something larger than themselves," he said. What gets me is the stupid reasons some of these guys have for not wanting it. Check out the CBC comments. Pretty disturbing. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/new-brunswick/sto...#socialcomments
