  1. I'd love to see the Pack win, but I have a feeling big ben will do whatever it takes to get the W.
  2. Glad to hear positive reviews Pfluegers. I just purchased a Patriarch and can't wait to try it out.
  3. Good on you. I applaud you for getting up and taking action. At the very least you probably saved your neigbours some family heirlooms.
  4. avoid cracked canoe..liquid poo in my opinion. It was moosehead's attempt at a premium light beer.
  5. Was this topic about lures or forage? I wonder what type of forage some lures are made to imitate. Or are some lures, like tubes, so effective because they can look like a variety of forage? And how is colour vs size vs shape vs action? I find around Toronto Pike seem to feed on perch, and there seems to be an abundance of small perch in some of these areas. I wonder how much some large predators, like Musky, feed on bass and walleye, and what size they target.
  6. MIll Street makes Barley wine during the winter that is rather enjoyable, sounds to be similar to the winter brew. I do not see the oatmeal stout often in the LCBO. Fortunately I am fairly close to C'est What which has the stout on tap, by far my favourite way of enjoying the sweet nectar.
  7. When it was just available in the Maritimes it was more of a local brewery. Since the mid to late 90's it has expanded quite a bit.
  8. Steam Whistle only out of the bottle for me,for some reason I do not like it on tap. Anything Mill Street, my favourite is the Stock Ale. You can also go the the brewery and buy growlers which are special small batches. The IPA is nice. In the summer I like the Mill St. Lemon Tea. As far as beers from Quebec Au Dieu du Ciel is great, apparently it is available at some LCBO's now. I love the St Ambroise Oatmeal Stout as well.
  9. Cool report. Thanks for sharing.
  10. I've been looking at this reel as well. The larger capacity with the high gear ratio. Which model did you get?
  11. My girlfriend had a similar response, actually nearly freaked out, she just doesn't get the fishing.
  12. When are they going to demolish the big O then? The only thing happening there must be a max of 5 Als games a year. They could probably demolish it for what it costs in upkeep a year.
  13. Is it still at the big "O"? I remeber the TV ads from when I was a kid.
  14. An oldie but a goodie
  15. Wow...what a hog. Congrats
  16. Thanks for a great review of these products.
  17. If I had one night in Montreal I would grab and few beers at Au Dieu Du Ciel and a sandwich from Schwartz's. I would consider Chez Paree over anything on St Catherines. Less touristy...but you can run in to more celebrities At Supersex. A Frins of mine once met Hulk Hogan and had him sign his Hulster Wallet. If you want a good steak try Moishe's, Le Queue De Cheval, or Gibby's in Old Montreal. If you want to bar hop go on St Laurent. Start at Biftek, Cross the Street and walk a bit to Le Pistol for a sanswich and beer. Cross again and hit up BLizzarts and the Blue Dog. Keep walking to north turn right on Mont Royal and head to Bily Kuhn. (I hope these places are still open) Head to a bring your own wine French Bistro (lots of them on the Plateau) L'Academie is a nice bring your own wine italian resto on St. Denis. It's a great city. I miss it. Have fun, and don't be afraid to stare at the beatifull women, if you don't you'll be looking at the ground or the sky.
  18. Settle down boys. Grimace you seem to be looking for a fight, but you do have a point.
  19. Aren't Whitehorse and Yellowknife both in Canadialand? What happens to your igloos when the temperature is above freezing?
  20. In todays day and age there would be a cop giving you a ticket for taking a twig from a tree
  21. I did. Two problems: 1. With shipping that works out to $203. With customs (in my experience that is hit or miss) that would be more than the 218 they are charging at LeBarons 2. It is not the microline. For some reason I had my heart set on that one or the Patriarch. 3. The weight on that reel is off. According to the Shimano site the CI4f1000 is 6.2 oouces and the microline is 6.2. I don't trust a seller that does not have accurate info. I bought the Patriarch off ebay. Shipping for the reel was 15 bucks. I've never ordered from a retailer outside the US so fingers crossed it all turns out good. I have not paid yet so if I screwed up let me know.
  22. It was closer to $30. That does not include taxes. I managed to get an Abu Garcia hip bag added to the order for the same price. It will serve me well while shore fishing in the spring. As far as he money goes I guess I'm just frugal that way, It's not like I don't have other ice fishing reels.
  23. 1 goal game
  24. Why can't CBC carry that feed?
