  1. I've duck hunted there between Bruce rd 13, and Isac Lake in the slew along the river. There's a parking lot there. Barbless Fisher,, is that where you where broken in to?? Good to know.. Little tirds from Wiarton i bet.. We launched a canoe from there and headed north to Isac.. Didn't go south to boat lake at all..but ya, the bridge does seem very low..
  2. Unfortunately, I don't think that would do them any good for the correct way to attach a boat to a trailer, then trailer it from point A to B without destroying the boat..
  3. She must not have rolled all the way over, or those blue lights would be smashed. But the railing around the front is all messed up on the starboard side, and the console as a good lean goin on.. Notice the clump of sod on the motor! What do you guys think. Write off?? Another $25000 down the drain?? I would think if the fiberglass hull, and rubber is still good, they should be able to repair it for less the $25000.. I guess it also depends on the motor, and if it hit anything during the crash..
  4. Upsidedown?? Doesn't sound like it just slid off the back of the trailer.. Maybe someone took a corner a little to fast.
  5. I’m really not one to rant, especially about the Police. I have a ton of respect for police officers, and actually would like to be one some day. HOWEVER.. Barrie Police just wrote off their THIRD boat in under 1 year!!! http://www.thebarrieexaminer.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2668838 No wonder my tax keeps rising living in Barrie.. It has not been confirmed that the boat was written off, but I would imagine a rigid haul fiberglass boat can’t handle being dropped on an asphalt road.
  6. For sure man.. Mercer has easily 50lbs on that torso.. Still funny though.
  7. Good to know man. Thanks eh! I hear ya. I almost always see a boat out there when I'm driving by. I always wondered what the heck they where fishing for..
  8. I was going to suggest Massasauga as well. Or French river. 6 Mile Lake is alright for bass and pike, and only about 2 hours from TO.
  9. It was the only thing working that day. The other guy in the boat got skunked, and he tried everything.. All the other guys we talked to got skunked for walleye as well.
  10. A slow death hook and a worm, with a 4' flouro leader, and a slip sinker. Trolling a 1mph in 12 fow.
  11. I know it's not what your looking for, but i town my boat with a VW Golf.. Max load in it is 1260lbs.. Way more then my boat ways. Wicked on gas.. Weather I have a trailer on or not.. Around 700kms per 50L tank. I'm not going to buy a truck until i get a BIG boat. Just a waste of money for me at this point in my life.
  12. I just learned how to use Photobucket, so i wanted to test her out. I'm really just posting this to make sure my photobucket account and linking are working properly.. I hit G-bay last weekend in search of Pickerel. I've never caught a pickerel before, and it was my number one goal for this season to catch one. Canada Day weekend, my fishing partner, and my wife both landed an eye each, but not me Last weekend was my turn. Hopefully these pictures work out. I posted these pics earlier this week, but not with Photobucket, so it was a little messed up... Can everyone see these pics??
  13. I like the last pic the best Thanks for the report man.
  14. Ya, for once It was a great day on the water for sure.
  15. This is my rig to make sure I'm in the right place, and the right speed... The Slow Death rig works best at 1 mph. Gets the worn twirling just right. Hey.. How can I attach more the one pic per post...??
  16. This guy was around 19"
  17. The 20"er from this morning.
  18. Ant the 15.75" eye from this morning.
  19. I figured G-bay was a good bet for this weekend. My regular fishing partner Steve had to work, so I called up one of my SAR unit teammates, who was more then happy to fill the position. Woke up at 4 am, on the water around 5:30. (should have been 5:00, but there was a long wait at Tim’s for some reason, then we watched Barrie PD arrest a drunk guy, and break up a college house party..) I trolled an Erie Derie for about 2 hours with a few bites, but no takers. We where in anywhere from 6’ to 25’, and trolling about 3km/h. I switched to a slow death rig, slowed down to about 1.5km/h, in 8’ to 12 FOW. 5 minutes later and there's a Pickerel in the boat! In the next two hours, I boated 3 more. What a great day!! The first was 15.75”; next two where both around 20”, and the last about 19”. One under the slot for the dinner table!! Here's a pic of a smallie from last weekend. Sorry about the poor quality pics, they where all taken on my cell phone..
  20. A good map, a compass, and experience (which it sounds like they had), and it's pretty hard to get lost. Crap happens though.
  21. A father and son went on a "4 day" canoe trip. They got messed up somehow on the way. So the father set up camp, and the son went off to try to find a road. They found the father, but havn't been able to find the son. The article maps out the route they where planning on taking. I don't know the area, but it sure seems like a lot of ground/water to cover in 4 days! http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/toronto/father-found-but-son-still-missing-in-algonquin/article1630176/
  22. I beleive there are two 3 Mile Lakes in the Muskokas. Are you talking about the one with cottages on it, near Lake Joe, or the one that's inside the conservation reserve near Housey's Rapids?
