  14. good question about bait. I have heard of people using field mice for pike and musky and big bass, never seen it for myself. Personally if its legal to use small animals i couldnt imagine putting the hook through it. Not really sure which is legal and which isnt. interesting question, i have regs with me so i will look it up. Cheers!

  16. i have heard that the fishing has been great in many areas of the province today. maybe the unstable weather that came in provoted the fish to bite before the storms hit. Nice looking fish you got into there! Cheers!

  18. actually i just remembered. A few years ago canada day on lake nipising right on the manitou islands i was fishing with my father inlaw and we had silver bass feeding like this on shad flies. it was incredible. We got about 150 fish in 30 minutes between 3 of us. Every cast. To bad it was not smallmouth bass or walleye lol So i have really seen this twice now! Cheers!

  22. i have seen this on in the mouth of the 16 mile creek in oakville about 15 years ago. it was a wild site but out of season so i didnt through a line in the water. I cant remember the conditions since i didnt really pay attention back then but it was an awesome site for a few hours. Sure wish it was open season it would have been a story you think someone would have made up. I do hear about this at couple times a year all over ontario. Cheers!
  23. wow that is one fat fish! Looks like she has been feeding well! Cheers!
  24. we got blasted herein oakville at around 4pm but only for 10 minutes, as i look at my window now its dark to the north again and i am hearing thunder in north oakville. Wild wild weather we have had this spring! Cheers!
  25. worry about the smaller ones that freak out as soon as your hand gets close ot it. The bigger ones (pike anyway) seem to be alot calmer then the little ones. Most people myself including always takes the bigger ones more seriously. I have long pliers for big pike so my hands dont go near there teeth or the hooks. I have yet to be hurt by a hook on a big fish. Have been bit by the hooks from smaller fish though, to many times that i care to mention lol Cheers!
