  8. cant help you with the gas pricing but thanks for your service to our country! My father in law is a CWO in north bay and is into his 40th year! so i know the hard work and level of commitment it takes to serve your country. Cheers!
  9. i find it to be more of a northern thing then a canadian thing. most who fish southern ontario like erie for example call them walleye but the northeners call them pickeral. There is also a generation thing as well. They are pickeral to most older generations but they are walleye to most younger generations. You can blame the knowledge of the interenet for that one. either way they taste great and I call them whatever the person i am fishing with calls them lol cheers!
  10. i worked on lake muskoka about 15 years ago for a summer. there are big pike at the mouth of the river. also lots of bass around the island shores. we used to catch walleye on the wind sweeped shore lines on browning island. this was 15 years ago though. cheers!
  11. what an aewsome pic, get that one framed!!! cheers!
  12. abut 5 or 6 years ago i was out by the manitoo islands july 1st it was so hot no wind, we couldnt get anything to bite at all and to make things worse the mayfly hatch was in full swing. If you have ever been on the lake when there is a hatch it looks like huge 50yd clumps of weeds floating on the water. Well this day for some reason triggered a feeding frenzy, to give you an idea we caught about 300 white bass in about an hour. we were even catching them with a hook and no bait, it was wild after i was at billy bobs bait store and telling some locals about it and there was a musky fishermen there that said it is the best time to cast around the edges of the feeding frenzy for big musky or pike. i guess it triggers them to feed seeing all the activity of these white bass feeding. But anyway yeah there are millions of them in nip. Cheers!

  16. yeah your best chance at making it is to be playing aaa so you can get drafted by the O, the back up plan should be to play junior a tier 11 somewhere, you can get scouted by us schools and get an education paid for or partly paid for. Remember though, when it comes to hockey, you only have one chance! With school you can always go back! To be the best at hockey you have to play with the best! Cheers!
  17. if you are out on big water like simcoe or nipissing then i would go for the deep v model, however if you are on smaller lakes then I dont see an issue with flat bottom boats at all. Thats my 2 cents worth Cheers!
