  1. BassMasterMike and I (where the heck is Parker?) should be leaving the airport area around 5:30. See you there, Norm, and all you other WACKY OFNrs.
  2. Even simpler than that, Wayne. We can just crash at your place. Lookin' forward,.... douG
  3. Should be a great day. Include me in.
  4. I think you are still a little unclear on the concept.
  5. A tree 18 ft in diameter would need 10 people to reach all the way around it. You mean 18 feet in circumference, not diameter. We had turkey pie for dinner last night. A coincidence? Hmmmmmmmm.
  6. The two 'stars' visible around the moon last night were Saturn and Regulus. Honest.
  7. Great post, Wayne, very enjoyable, thx largely dere.
  8. I just came in after a view with The LIttle One, and remarked on the two stars, one left and one up of the moon. Chile said, "Dad, that big one is likely a planet". So it is. That is Saturn, and directly above is Regulus. No poop.
  9. I'm with Deano on this one, but I picked the waterproof floater, Garmin GPSMAP 76 CSX. Extremely sensitive receiver, very low battery drain (15 hours easy on a pair of AAs), amazing mapping and routing features, and intuitive interface.
  10. Nope, you are absolutely right. I don't like offering my face to make a point tho, but you go ahead. I like to pick my fights, and that one ain't one of them.
  11. I recommend anarchy. I also recommend not living in fear, even if you are right. Spend time and energy imagining the way things should be, instead of heralding the impending doom. Good mental health, and we are all better because of it. I don't preach sunshine, but we all gotta pull the same way.
  12. I'm sorry, but that's the way I feel.
  13. Great report, Wayne. Some great photographs, and HUGE LAKERS!! Very nice, very nice. Best to you, Leah, and to your little one visiting Toronto, hope she's made to feel welcome. Best, Doug
  14. Standard fillet technique for perch, walleye, salmon or trout. I find the esox to be trickier, the pike with the Y bones, and the muskie with the fanatics. Eating each species has its drawbacks.
  15. I made brunch for the girls and their boyfriends, pancakes with initials on them, bacon, strangled eggs and mimosas. Then we went bowling to find a 1 hour wait, so we did plan B, full contact Monopoly. Not pretty.
  16. If you need more, jes let me know, provide fedex acc't #, etc. We can have that delivered right some dam quick.
  17. Once you've tried a properly seasoned Bloody Caesar, you will never have another Bloody Mary. I find each spicy salty sweet sip tastes like another one. Enjoy responsibly, btw.
  18. No problem with a damp cell phone. Just put it in the microwave on low for 5 minutes, wrapped in a dry cloth, it will fix that moisture issue easy. Won't ever be a problem again.
  19. Tell me about your pickles - Strubb's Full Sours? Or just Bick's or Klassen's? Inquiring Caesar fans need to know.
  20. Oh dear, Glen. That sounds just awful. You need a lot more practice swillin' with the Northern contingent. And a domestic supply of Motts' Spicy Clamato. I like some lime juice in mine, salt and pepper on the top as well as the celery salt on the rim. I also like a hot sauce with a little garlic in it, rather than the tabasco sauce, although the tb sauce will do. Lee and Perrins Worcestershire is the only choice for that component. Like any beautiful dish, it's all about the balance between hot and sweet, salt and sour. It just takes practice. I like Jerk (Walker's Wood outa Kingston JA) so maybe that might be a good substitute for the hot sauce. There are many types of pickles, from bread and butter to dill to full-sour dill to sweet mix to hot mix to calabrese giardiniera. Whatchoo talkin bout? I wonder if pickled herring juice might work.
  21. The music is Finnish. That was one cute little baby moosey playing in the puddles, but I don't know about a bull moose as a housepet.
  22. Kudos to the Reefrunner, way to pick up on the whole DANG THING meme. This is going to work out great.
  23. Roy, I just looked at the pictures and didn't read all the posts, but I think that Glen caught at least some of the fish on Kabuki rigs. . Pay attention.
  24. I love the billboard on the road north out of Toronto that says, "The ULTIMATE FEAST !!!!! Do it Yourself PIG ROAST." If it's the ultimate, I'd rather not have to cook my dinner and then serve it to myself. Nothing ultimate about that.
  25. Vanselena, the real connection between fish and success is cows.
