  1. Good one!! LOL
  2. A lifetime warranty is fine and dandy but if there are issues with cracking the boat maybe in the shop for an extended time while you want to be out fishing, not saying it`s going to happen but something to consider. When I did my research I read numerous horror stories from Tracker customers about cracked hulls and having to ship the boat back for repairs taking in some cases 2-3 months only to get the boat back and then have the same problems show up again and having to ship the boat back again.
  3. What`s with all this ice talk?? I can`t wait for Spring!!LOL
  4. One other important thing to consider is the hull welded or rivets, after research I decided on rivets I just read too many stories of cracks on welded hulls.
  5. Obviously a 90" beam console boat is going to cost more but the suggestion was made to have a look at the boat show to see what is being offered, when you take the Legend and add a motor that will do the job the basic skinny boat is 15 grand for a couple of grand more you may get a much better boat at the show. I would hazzard a guess that most Legend customers who buy the package with the base motor are very disappionted by the performance. In 2006 I got a 16-7" Navigator with a 90 Yammy 4 stroke with a GV trailer for under 20K Prices should be better now given the economy and the improved Canadian dollar.
  6. Would not be my first choice, seems kinda skinny at 74". For safety and comfort I would look for a 90" beam and a full console. You and your partner will really appreciate the full console in the cold spring and fall weather. If it were me I would wait for the boat show there will lots of dealers/manufactures there and if your ready to buy you should be able to do better than a skinny Legend.
  7. I wish you luck in your search for compensation but I would think Crestliners corporate mouth pieces have this all figured out. When I made my decision on a boat the two I was considering were Crestliner and Alumacraft sure glad I picked Alumacraft.
  8. Lots of good advice here for you, I will just add go with the one that looks the best too your eye and don`t get hung up on specs that most people don`t understand. LG has a longer warranty and that was the deciding factor for my last purchase.
  9. Bloody Canadians you can`t take them anywhere!!!
  10. Nice call!!!LOL Who do you like in the Grey Cup???LOL
  11. Enjoyed the pics nice to see pictures that haven`t been photo shopped. You should get out fishing more!!
  12. Perhaps the children of world need a better role model obvoiously Mr. Woods is of low moral character and not worthy of any respect what so ever. If Mr. Woods was so concerned about respect and the image he portrays to the youth of the world he should have used better judgement before he started banging skank cocktail waitresses.
  13. or better yet say a river in North America! LOL Some are getting a little anal about this location thing, who would have thought there are salmon in the Maitland imagine that.
  14. I hope your car is okay but you know that probably would not have happened if you had a real tow vehicle. Having said that looking at my gas bills I can see why some people try to skimp on a tow vehicle.
  15. Was it difficult to install?
  16. I am looking into a folding hitch that would allow me to store my boat in the garage. Does anybody have any experience with these, I would appreciate some feed back on your experience. Thanks
  17. Nice smallies! I have been meaning to try Erie maybe next year. And yes Roy there is a University in Arkansas, how do you think the Arkansasians learn how to park so many cars on their front lawns!
  18. I can`t help you much but I would imagine launching would be a pain I like the front hitch idea. The wife and I were considering a class B much better on gas than a C and you could launch easliy. We looked at the cost of a B class (expensive) extra insurance, service, storage etc. for the have dozen or so times we would use it per year the cost did not make sense to us. I like the van idea get some foam and a porta potti and your good to go.
  19. I don`t know maybe I just have a hard time understanding things. The operator says our lakes does he mean his lake or does he mean our as in you me and the guy next door? Is this a private lake or is the lake on crown land. To me it seems kind of silly to suggest that if the name of the lake gets out there will be a squadron of float planes decending on on the lake and floatila of boats pounding the fishery.I certainly see why the operator has concerns after all he is making his living off our resource. For many different reasons most fishermen will never have the opportunity to fish the remote north and that is to bad because it looks like a great experience. I myself have never been on a fly-in trip but it is on the bucket list and as a matter of fact the wife and I are seriously looking at buying a summer home in the Timmins/Cochrane area to enjoy our beautiful resource. BTW I hope you keep posting reports of your trips they are spectacular.
  20. That`s what my wife and boys said tubing/waterskiing, I wanted a pure fishing platform but I did the compromise thing. Now guess how many times the boat has been used for tubing/watersking in 3 years?? you guessed it... ZERO!
  21. Can`t answer that question but I would call your insurance company to find out what would happen to your insurance policy if you have an incident while pulling an overweight load.
  22. Shimano Sedona and Convergence
  23. You win Bill now you are both lucky and happy!!
  24. Some good rain gear!!! I second the Shakey jigs they worked well on Limerick last year and smallies love Senko`s Have fun.
  25. No I think I will keep the truck, Truck is for pulling and the car is for groceries. And by the same token us truck owners have a few laughs as well at the expense of the OP`s towing with inferior equipment. And don`t worry we will continue to pull you guys out of the water when needed. So I guess to summize car owners say it`s okay and truck owners say no what a surprise. I can`t wait for the next "can I tow thread"
