Does not surprise me in the least, there is a large proportion of the ice fishing crowd that have proven time and again that they are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. Most OFC Community excluded of course!!!

Thanks for all the replys, I ended up going with the Revo SX-HS. Compared it too the Curado the Revo just felt better in my hand and it also felt a little smoother, time will tell if I made the right decision.

I was looking at the Quantum Energy but I have a Quantum Accurist and while it is a decent reel there is something about it that just rubs me the wrong way, I prefer my old Quantum Iron to the Accurist. Is the Energy a big step up from the Accurist? What did you not like about the Revo S?

I was wondering if any of the membership are using the Revo series of baitcasters looking for some feedback before I purchase. Thanks

I have two resolutions one is to actually get out on the water more and secondly is to learn how to use a fly rod.

Inventory LOL!! I recieved 400 in cards and I will check my inventory as well even though I know I don`t really need another rod or reel. What am I saying one can always use another combo or two!! RIGHT.

I have booked on line with Trip central and Sunwing with no problems, I would be surprised if Sunseekers could be several hundred cheaper than the competition as they all pretty much buy the the same block of rooms from the hotels. Try Trip Central and Redtag.

I have tried many brands of flouro over the years and for the most part I have not been impressed with the performance having said that I tried Seagar Red Label this past year and it is the best I have used. My weekend fisherman view of flouro is that it is not worth the hassle as a main line but does have an application as leader material. IMHO for the average fisherman out there a good Stren or Trilene product is all you need.

The wife likes to record her soaps so we went the DVD recorder route to get rid of the tapes, we have not had much luck with this wonky technology. Our first was a expensive Pioneer hard drive unit and that last a little over a year you know just after the warranty expired.We tried another brand and pretty much had the same result, we are now on our third unit a simple DVD recorder and so far it`s still working touch wood. If this one craps out that is it it`s back to a VCR if I can find. It sounds like you are just into basic TV so a simple VCR may be the best option.

Yes nice 10 minutes but I agree about going out on the big lake with a wonky motor pretty dangerous.
