  16. all in the slot. of the 8 that I've caught the last 2 weekends, all in the slot. last year, about half were over Had a couple meals. the rest are filleted and frozen in water in a ziplock bag I've heard some people add milk instead of water?
  17. Picked up 4 in an hour just at sunset in a small bay with a southwest wind blowing into it. Bucktails, slammers and crankbaits all caught fish. Didn't seem to matter 69 degree water
  18. At the cottage (Pigeon) lots of big dragonflies hovering around grabbing lots of mosquitoes. Love those guys. Always remind me of Vietnam Hughey Helos. Besides, who else can have sex while flying

  22. So Guys. I have more info from this weekend. Current prop is 13 1/4 x 17. WOT with just me and a full tank of gas is 6200. 42 mph. (with tip of one blade chewed) the decision remains, 1. buy same 2 . 4 blade aluminum. 3. change prop size/pitch I would prioritize hole shot and slower trolling speed over top speed thanks lots
  23. so....no hotdogs this time. got worried Sat am when I'm the only boat in the northeast arm all morning. tried perch Walleye Diver and Huskie Jerk. nothing Sat-Sun. found eyes in green weeds in 6-12 ft on Mon switched to 1/2 oz chartreuse jig with a yellow perch 3 1/4 inch swammer. nailed 7. lots of Rockies 65 degrees this morning thanks everybody peter
  24. French River will give them the awesome Canadian Shield beautiful experience they know over there. Will likely be during wicked blackflie season unless you go end of June. Way less blackflies on Manitoulin, though
  25. Heading up to the cottage this weekend, on North Pigeon. 10 days ago, just lots of BIG OOS smallies. Couldn't find the 'eyes. Fished 4-12 ft where there are weedbeds in the summer. Any idea where they will be this weekend? Tired of hotdogs peter
