Got to do some chain saw work this weekend. Bought fresh premium gas. My Stihl oil that came with the saw in small containers is 3-4 yrs old. Is there a shelf life on this stuff?

Pretty sure they were legally huntable in the past. Time to bring that back. I hear the native community is working them over.

I used to bring it in on wood. Last 5 yrs just leave it in the boat during the winter with the positive wires disconnected. A slow charge for 3-4 hrs in spring. Good to go.

9th year I on my original Deka starting battery. I'm impressed. I hear most batteries only last 3-4 yrs.

Mentioned this before. I think the stretch mono gives is useful when targeting smallies. When they are airborne, that head shake towards you will create slack with no-stretch lines. Lost a lot of jumpers that way.

So I understand the jig for crappie should be just under the float. 6-12 inches. Does the same apply to spring gills? I'm thinking a little lower. What about dropshotting? Or casting mini cranks.

Got the cottage open. Nobody out on the lake. No panfish hangin around the dock. Tried for crappie in past springs with no luck. Never catch one fishing for eyes. Catch lots of bluegills under floats in shallow bays. Is there a decent crappie population in the north end?

Don't want to tell you how to raise your daughter, but you had better love her like crazy as well as being tough with her. Read once that girls have a theoretical "love tank" that can only be filled with male affection. It's the Dad's job to keep it filled till they grow up. Hugs. Compliments. Monthly date night, etc. If Dad's not filling it, they will find male affection elsewhere. At 14 that just leads to trouble. Just sayin. It's a tricky balance. Too tight- no good. They rebel. Too loose- no good either. Glad I'm done with 4 kids. 3 grandkids now ?
