  1. You’re probably right. I’ll do my best to repair then crank on it before I use it. Would be stupid to lose a good fish over a weak lure.
  2. Couple things. Don’t eat after 6-7 pm. Go for a walk in the evening. Don’t look at your phone or computer 2-3 hrs before bed. Try not to think about things like finances in bed. No napping. Taking Melatonin messes with your own melatonin production. There are sleep clinics out there. A good sleep is a real blessing.
  3. Slapped this Reef Runner boatside to get some weeds off and the tongue snapped off. Didn’t slap it hard at all. Makes me wonder how this design will manage a big fish. . Have caught lots of big eyes and Muskies on crankbaits where line attaches to tongue instead of body. Will epoxy this tongue in. Maybe should reinforce all my tongues before they break.
  4. Incredible fish. He’ll become a Muskie addict now.
  5. Any mention of substance abuse? Gotta be. 🥺
  6. Looks like it. Seems they are award winning for service and community efforts. On FB they say they offer ethanol free gas. Hope its a top tier fuel and free of water.
  7. I’ve heard the gas sold to boaters at the dock is ethanol free.
  8. I looked here. No 10 lb low visibility. 😕
  9. I understand their marine gas is ethanol free. Likely cheaper than Shell super. What’s the word on their gas? Good or bad?
  10. Thanks Misfish. Good site. Canadian. Seems they have Nanofil in stock. $14 delivery fee 😳
  11. Seems nobody has Nanofil in stock. Berkeley website still has it listed. Just sold out like a lot of other things? Tried the their X9 line instead but don’t like it as much. Nanofil is my favourite spinning line.
  12. If you have maps or GPS find a hump, anchor in 15-20 ft around the hump and drop shot a minnow, worm or scented plastic. Will catch in this order: bluegills, smallies, walleye and even Muskie. If no action move 20 metres or try another hump. Good luck
  13. I like going to the Curve Lake Reserve south of Buckhorn. The Whetung Centre is an art gallery and native craft store. Lots of authentic stuff from all over North America. Cheap gas too on reserve. Also take a drive to Bobcaygeon for some shopping and get a cone at Kawartha Dairies factory store. Peterborough Farmers Market on Saturday morning on Landsdowne. Lots of bike trails in Peterborough. Take a run up to Algonquin for a hike and check out visitor centre.
  14. Thanks Gents. How much heat to apply? Assuming propane torch.
  15. I drive a Toyota 4Runner. I was given a maintenance schedule for every 8,000 km. I’m at 150,000 and no mention of brake fluid change.
  16. Hey Guys. This aluminum pipe at the back of our pedal boat is bent. Still turns the rudder but at an angle. It’s supposed to slide up and down but because of the bend it can’t. I’m want to straighten it but buddy says it will likely crack. Any ideas? Add some heat?
  17. Agreed. I wasn’t going to respond initially. But I’m glad you did. It’s not a staple that I’m selling. Fuel, food. Rental apartment. . It’s a holiday. It’s rediculous to not charge what the market will bare. It sold on AirB&B within hours of posting. Are we turning into a socialist state ? 🤪
  18. Peterborough County pays around $100 per ton to get rid of garbage. That’s why they have to charge what they do for residents to dump. Garbage bags have to be clear at the dump. The dump nazi checks every bag at entrance. They want to maximize recycling. Green bin stuff is wet and heavy and expensive to haul away if mixed with regular garbage. As residents we have to bring a card and can only dump a certain number of bags per quarter. Or pay for extra. But I agree the cost to dump will encourage bums to find alternatives
  19. Sad. Part of the “ it’s all about me” movement.
  20. Thanks for the heads up. Seems a legitimate problem, although sporadic.
  21. I’ve been renting my cottage easily on AirBnB for ridiculous amounts. The word is there’s nothing available for vacation other than camping and cottage rentals. I would have assumed resorts are full. Maybe not way up north. 😕
  22. I used to be a Nikon SLR guy. Haven’t picked it up in years. My iPhone 6 takes great shots and video in 80% of circumstances. It’s all about the light and a clean lens. The convenience and ability to edit quickly and easily then send it to anyone on the spot makes it my go to camera. Looking at the iPhone 11 Pro now.
