  1. Alright, I give. I'll divulge all of my secret WGSF spots and techniques in my next report.
  2. Like always, I make due with what I got. I only fished for less than an hour, still felt good to get a bend in the rod. How's fishing been for you lately anyway?
  3. So I was tossing a spinner in attempts at catching trout today on the Mighty Lynn, and after a few chub hits I cast to the back of a hole and WHAM right on the surface, this huge fish hits it like a freight train, and the fight was on! WOW I thought this must be the mother of all browns.. if this brown is as big as it feels, I'll be making the newspaper tonight! Then up comes old bugle lips. Whoever thinks carp are just scavengers never saw this carp hit. He ANNIHILATED the spinner, not like when they usually just suck the spinner in, this one smacked it. Awesome to see.. though I am a little disappointed it wasn't a trout. Still great. 4lb test plus fast current made this about a 20 minute fight! If only my camera crew had accompanied me to catch that hit.
  4. Snoopy rod.. so that's what I'm doing wrong. I was still using bamboo. Guess everybody has to upgrade to the new techniques eventually.
  5. My dealer mannnnnn
  6. Some people get just as excited over the small trips as they do over the big ones. Perhaps they're just showing their excitement towards the sport of fishing.
  7. Anybody wants to see a movie, I recommend the Dark Knight! I was skeptical about it but dang, it was awesome. Better than the Spider-Man movies IMO. Much more realistic (as realistic as Batman gets, lol) Just a heads up. Maybe I'll write movie reviews now that I never have time to fish..
  8. Can't stand that Gulp stuff, never caught a fish on it anyway. Their senko wannabes were the worst. Sunk like a rock and no action.
  9. Nice haul.. what's that little guy in the middle? WGSF?!
  10. Power worms and power tubes are proven catchers for quite some time now. I think the first pack of plastic worms I ever bought with my own money were Power Worms.
  11. Nice little snacker! She's a cruel wench, that lower Grand.
  12. Cudz, due to the way walleye's teeth are laid out in their jaws, they are pretty much incapable of cutting your line. The only sharp spot is the very tip of their tooth and the chances of that hitting your line are about the same as you winning the lottery.
  13. Bottom bouncing and jigging seems to be the norm there. The usual walleye haunts in a river, drop-offs, ledges, etc. Just follow the other boats!
  14. Sleded walking outside in his underwear = sasquatch sighting IMO Nice pics duuuuuude let's go bass fishing now that you're in the sportsman's paradise again!
  15. I always notice the distinct colour difference..
  16. Just like when my atlantic was a brown trout! hahaha Good work on the early salmon dude!
  17. You want excellent pike fishing, try Long Point Bay on the north shore of Lake Erie. We have so many pike it's sick. Bass and big perch too. It's about 2 hrs south of Toronto. PS Welcome aboard!
  18. Nice pics and great report. Out of curiosity, how big do the channel cats get there? A river pushing that much water should be a big cat factory in the spring.
  19. Are you another one of those who was advocating 4lb line for bass? Sorry to hear that man, but it happens to all of us at some point! It's times like those when you wish you never even saw the fish!
  20. Awesome stuff!
  21. Pretty sure I know the area! You're right it is some of the easiest musky fishing ever for numbers but not a whole lotta big girls. Nice work and thanks for the report!
  22. Agreed PAZE.. I don't see many imports on the road that are 10+ years old, but there's tons of GM's and Ford's out there heck my dad's truck is pushing 20!
  23. Nice largies, kudos to you and your wife.. But dude - where do I know you from?
  24. Bigcreekday, I confess to the same thing. I actually caught some fish on them. Just as much as I would on a fluke, trick worm or senko though.

    Carp Pics

They start spawning my local Lake Erie tribs in late April/Early May most years, full fledged spawn by early June and I've never seen them still spawning past July. Just weird for me but I guess Lake O is a much cooler lake.
