  1. Thought about that... With 300+ waypoints I think that would be confusing looking back years later at info.... ... Well 3 years ago when the water was 66 degrees we caught fish at waypoint 112... 228... And 301.... Where's that?.... Lemme check my GPS.... Most spots I try to name them based on something I can remember... For example... I have a spot I call "The dead cow"... Because its the closest spot I fish to the dead cow I found this spring...
  2. So I'm running out of names for new fishing spots I'm finding... My fishing journal is getting confusing.... Lol So I was wondering if you guys would post up some names for spots like... points... Banks... Rocks/stones.... Ripples... Etc... In all seriousness I will be using a lot of these names.... I'm just not a super creative person.... Thanks...
  3. I've seen bug #1 before... But not bug #2... Creepy...
  4. Fixed... Lol And yes... The OP stated $100.... So talking about tekotas is a waste of time....
  5. I have to be honest... My anti reverse on an accudepth 17 malfunctioned tonight... First malfunction I've ever had with any of the 8-10 accudepths I've owned... This thread musta jinxed me..... I didn't hesitate to pull the trigger on another accudepth to replace it tho....
  6. Cool Thanks I use glow spoons ice fishing..... This will help
  7. Thanks... Everyone... This tournament is the most important day of my year... There are anglers in this event that my dad used to tell us stories about as kids... Half the boats have 30+ years experience fishing this area... This is 2 years in a row we placed 2nd... Last year we missed first by 0.5lbs... This year 0.1lbs... And to compete with my brother is great...
  8. How did you like the stress/pressure of the tournament...? It brings a whole other feeling to your day on the water....
  9. Have you fished there before??? Because knowing how to fish specific spots is important.... It super tough learning a new spot at night... I'd suggest locating good looking structure during the day... And try to find large easily fish able structures with plenty of fish marks on the sonar... Drop some waypoints on key spots on that large structure... And fish it a bit when you can see... Then when you return after dark... You'll have a better idea of what's going on... My favorite after dark spots are large slow tapering points.... Saddles... And rock piles... In that order...
  10. To clarify... It wasn't transmission... It's code P0010 Which when searched is most likely a camshaft solenoid actuator or something like that... The only symptom we are getting is hard shifting.... If I reset the CEL the problem goes away for a while....
  11. From what I've seen... A piece of structure...It will have walleye all around the area during the day.... And at night Some move up and down on the structure at different times... But most will move up at dark... I've found the edges produce very well at these times... During the day the walleye seem to hold deep and spread out.... But at dark they seem to concentrate on weed edges and tops of rock piles... I've been to spots where you can actually see walleye at night in 1-5 feet of water... But there were WAY more fish at the edge of the weeds/drop off... 15-18 feet of water... And they seam to be more willing to bite.... I spend a lot of time in the dark hunting walleyes... And I'm almost always in 15-20 feet of water... If your set on trying for shallow walleye... I love x-raps for this.... Perch... Blue... Pink.... Black/gold... Clown..... All great colors FYI... I'm fishing a river not a lake.... So what I said might not strike true for a lake....
  12. Can your check engine light be on when you go for an E test...? My wife's car is getting a code that has to do with her transmission.... And she was told if you check engine light is on you fail... But the transmission has nothing to do with emissions.... Anybody know the answer to this one?
  13. Nice haul... That open water trolling looks fun... Figuring out the art of trolling suspended walleye... All my fishing is on shallow structure....12-25 feet of water... Lots of spots and lots of short trolls in a day...
  14. Well I've heard of fish being caught on certain lake O piers already... So I would imagine you could get into fish right outside the mouth... But as others have said... Lake O can get nasty... Especially when the waves are coming towards the river mouth... They start breaking and getting very sharp and steep... I'd wait for a north wind....
  15. Yup... One small slip and that okuma broke... Go diawa
  16. Not really... Half our fish in the fall are 5-8 pounds... Some 9s and a couple over 10...So not really quinte size... But here getting 15-20 fish this size in a day in the fall is common for me... From what I've seen and results from my trips to quinte 2-5 walleye is common for most boats trolling in the fall.... So more action here but little smaller fish... ...
  17. I've been using the same accudepth 27 for musky for like 6-7 years without issues... Plenty of screamers with the drag tight...
  18. Usually in our tournaments there might be 1-2 fish at 8+.... Never seen a 10 in a tourney here yet...
  19. Diawa accudepth... I have 6... Love em... Use em for walleye and musky... Size 17 for walleye and 27 for musky... $70 I think
  20. These were sent to me through Facebook... Ill ask to make sure they are the originals....
