Depends what kind of wind your willing to deal with... I'm on lake st Francis and we get big wind with big waves and my 55 lb thrust on a 16 foot Lund gets pushed backwards like a toy in the ruff stuff... Wish I had bought a 80 lb... If you fish small lakes and rivers... 55 should be ok

I think you should look at the equipment a bit closer when you dropping $200 on it... Think about your purchase and always check a real out before buying it... Take it out of the box... My 2 cents

Yeah...RCAF... I busted the remaining ice with my truck and managed to get my boat in... There isn't much ice flowing in Cornwall but I'd be very careful if you head east...

oh yeah... it was stuffed to the gills with minnows and GOBIES!

actualy i was... my friends have been catching them for years off shore... so today i took my f150 to the launch and busted up the ice with my tires and ruturned in 30 minutes with my boat to try this rare st.lawrence trout experience and within 10 minutes my partner said he hit a rock with his lure... then i couldnt believe it when i saw a nice brown chasing his spoon to the boat!!! an hour or so later i caught one right were he had missed the fish earlier...

managed to boat a football of a brown today in the st.lawrence river... 6.15lbs and 22 inches long
