even tho you can get some nice fish in the winter... I FREAKIN MISS MY BOAT!!! and im having dreams about hearing a one toner knowing there is a pig of a carp on the other end

i didnt realy think that i would have to do anything differently than in the spring... what i am wondering is what are ideal conditions at a WWD? im assumeing for my comfort it should be above 0 degrees... but if carp do use this WWD are they there all winter??? or does this just get em feeding a couple weeks earlier than normal swims? example... if it was gunna be 5 degrees tomorow (i wish)... should they be there...we are talking about a three hour drive here... but im too anxious to wait for them to start biting here... i normaly dont catch until about a week into april and that is way too far away...

Thanks for the WWD info... If anybody has information specifically about CARP FISHING warm water discharges... Specifically in PORT HOPE I would appreciate the info... I don't really need info on fishing carp in general but I appreciate the gesture...

are you saying this is how you fish port hope? or this is how you fish a WWD? or this is just how you rig up for carp?

there is great access... you can drop your line right in the damn pipe! And it looks very carpy... its basicaly a harbor attached to a lake ontario trib with a giant pier seperating the majority of the harbor... i think its mostly about 10 feet deep and nice murky water... im just not sure about lake ontario carp... do they like tributaries???or harbors??? cause this is a combo of the two...

I was wondering if anybody knows anything about fishing hot water discharges fir carp... I'm wondering if all of them should hold carp ... Or am I looking for something specific... I was thinking about the power plant in port hope specifically... Cause that water is pretty warm... Or I was thinking my local water filtration plant but the water there isn't really warm... Just not as cold as the rest of the river... Any help would be swell everybody... And if this sounds like something you'd like to try with me send me a pm... Mike

Thnx... I was looking at the chub vizor at new world carp but they are sold out and the same buy from carp kit int is like $100 bucks more...

im trying to find a nice resonably priced bivvy i can purchass from a local store.... i was wondering if anybody had experience with this subject and could point me in the right direction... i live in cornwall ontario but ottawa and montreal are fine... and im still open for suggestions further than that... thanx mike

thanks.... im carefull not to ... stretch... the truth i usualy undercut my fish if anything...

looks short cause im 6 foot 4 270lbs... it was over 30 inches... we didnt have a scale but any walleye that fat over 30 inches is definatly over 10 pounds

well... its been some hard work this year getting to my favorite walleye spot but i decided to put in the extra effort... and... success! only 4 trips out i managed 10 walleye including two 8 pounders and this massive 10 pounder...

The curado 300 is a joy to fish and has both left and right hand models... Pair that up with a 7foot 6 inch heavy st.croix and you got a pretty sweet musky rig...
