very cool...

i personally dont like bass very much... but they are nice for people in my boat that dont fish much... keeps em entertained between walleye... for me when im targeting one species... any other species is anoying... even a musky... i always think i have a giant eye on the hook... only to find out its another musky... i do think in general... bass are easier to catch then most other popular sportfish... but it is very difficult to consistantly catch larger then average bass... i almost never target bass... and even i know how or where to get a couple all yeaer... even right now... i could go get some smallies tomorrow... not quality ones... but bass

The only other video I have is the flock in the morning... By late afternoon the group had doubled in size... As soon as we stopped the boat they began landing all around us at a distance

thought you all would like to see this massive flock of snow geese we saw while fishing the other day... pictures and video dont do it justice... but here you go... click on the image to play the video

Not sure how deep I was running... I don't have a trolling bible... But I saw the fish streak down to 30-40 after the release... So I think it was ok...

Amazing what mother nature can do... Thanks...

Unless the scale was frozen/stiff... Took and hour to free up my frozen throttle assembly... Under the cowling... Luckily the motor was able to troll till it was sorted out...

Well I'm around 900 walleye this year with several over 9lbs... But I had no 10 pounders... This was driving me bananas!!!!!!!! So I saw a chance to hit quinte today with my brother... Good idea... Lines were in around 730 am... Board fired around 800 am... Sweet... First fish on lead core.... Get the fish up to the transom... Pig... 10lb 8oz of quinte gold... After that it was a bit downhill... Snagged a perch... I dropped 2 fish... Brother dropped 1 fish... Then late afternoon we boated another eye around 4lbs... No matter how you look at it... It was a good trip... Time with my brother... 10lb walleye... And great weather in December... Anybody else hit quinte this weekend?

nice musky larry... love the big tiller ranger...

It was pretty chilly... Our rod guides were freezing and my boat carpet had a nice layer of ice on it at the end...

got out tonight for some evening/night trolling... and what a night... in about 3 hours we went 22 for 23... i say WE but my buddy would argue... i think he only got 4-5 of them...lol... same lure... they were hitting very light for the most part... most were hooked with one barb on the back treble... but thats all i needed... most fish were 3-5 pounds... but one... i got a 28 incher that weighed 9.2 lbs... talk about fat!!!

my little guy stood up for the first time today... he used a basket full of books to kinda climb into position... then he stood up with just his belly touching the books for balance.... hes only 6.5 months old... this is one proud DADDY... he'll be fishing in no time... ...

birds are behind schedule... normally we have a huge flock of snow geese out front of our cottage by now... not here yet... and only the odd small groups of ducks flying by... normally i hear lots of shots on the weekends while fishing...but not many so far this year... my brother just got his duck boat ready the other day... hes hoping they are gunna start flying more soon...

Paul...this time of year me and my brother have a rule... family first... we call each other first for fishing... if the other cant go... then friends get a call... and this time of year we dont say no to each other very much... my normal fishing buddies are going through withdrawals lately...

I should put a day in for musky before ice up... Haven't fished musky in a couple weeks... I've been pounding walleye... And that's addictive...
-
after checking the weather i should be ok to fish for the next 2 weeks at least in the boat... so 4+ trips in the boat at least...
-
both areas have ups and downs... i know what time the guides head out to place the guests... so if i really want a swim... its an early morning for me... but i have to say... jeff from the long sault carp club is a top notch guy... he knows most of my spots because he sees my vehicle in the same areas every couple days... he has never put guys on spots he knows i fish... and i try not to fish his high traffic spots in return... i share fishing info with him and he does the same with me... he works with local anglers instead of against them...

just wondering how many others are still getting out... im really curios how many boats are still getting out... im still getting in the boat 2-3 times a week... and if you have a date when your boat got put away or is going to be put away... id find that interesting to see when most pack it in...

nice recap... looks like a very nice carp community your in there... lots of people able to fish together... little different in my area... most swims can only fish a couple people... its nice to have a bit of a private area for you and your buddies... we only have a couple locations that can hold a group of anglers... mike

if your shack is insulated and you seal it up with snow... it wont take much to heat it... my 5x8 insulated with a basic propane heater was toasty... jeans and hoody on the low setting... and as you mentioned... propane has lots of advantages that make it easy... all that being said... if your looking for more of an "outdoors" experience with atmosphere... go wood i used propane cause im out for one thing and one thing only... catch fish... so i dont wanna be messing with wood when the bite starts....
