  2. Those are popular here... I'll check the local shop... I'm 99% sure they have them Might be knock offs... Not sure...but they are banana jigs just like in your picture... With a single through hook.. I think they will ship em too Any specific colors your looking for?
  3. Troll Nylon coated steel wire 30lb Or Heavy florocarbon...40lb and up #4 Colorado blades 6-8 inches long one single hook I tie to a 3 way swivel Then tie a 6 inch dropper line to a 4-6 oz sinker(in current) Then tie a 3-4 foot 20lb mono leader to a snap swivel and attach the wire spinner to the snap... Doing it this way prevents spinners from tangling... Troll on break lines and weed edges... Tip hook with gulp minnow... I know most will say I'm crazy running steel wire spinners... But we have tested all kinds of materials and the walleye don't care... And that's in gin clear water too... And then if your lucky enough to get a pike or musky you have a better chance of landing it... Mike
  4. Yup... Hang a small weightless soft plastic off of a popper and hang on... Or use a 3 way swivel with a original floater rapala and a deep diver
  5. That's carp dedication right there...
  6. The deals in the states usually apply to higher end boats... Lots of 18 foot plus boats with big motors for cheap... These 2 boats are more entry level as far as new boats are concerned...
  7. the 16 foot princecraft would be cheaper on gas... and the 60 should be plenty of power... my buddy has a 16 foot lund that is pretty wide and deep and his 60 four stroke is perfect... my 16 foot lund tiller has a 40 four stroke and it is a sweet combo... i think that 75 would just cost you more in gas.... and your purchase isnt as protected as new with warranties... as long as it will be 2 in the boat most of the time.... and the water being fished isnt too big... go with the princecraft... if you want a boat that will be better for trips and having more then 2 in the boat... go with the smokercraft...
  8. You guys should come this way for a weekend carpin trip.... It's easy fishing and big fish (20lb average)... The most important thing in my area is choosing the best spot for the conditions on a given day...
  9. Youd be surprised... I only run 1oz jigs or bigger due to current... I get fish of all sizes... They hit and don't let go... Really nice baits Roy
  10. thanks for the report looks like a great time out

  13. just thought id let everyone know... cabelas has all ice electronics on sale... they seem to all be around 50 dollars off the regular price
  14. Not yet Paul... I've been working on the walleye...
  15. I've had some old timers tell me that the biggest walleye were caught late in the season... But walleye closes march 1 Now... So the season is closing before the females are staging to spawn... I've seen this with other species where the horny little males rush in and the big females mosey on in last ice...
  16. Sounds right... I like the idea of heading shallower to find big active fish... Might be the ticket... That's where I get my big girls during soft water
  17. Yeah... I've got spots with bigger walleye... But you only get 1-4 in a night... But they are almost all over 20 inches... And I got a 30 incher last winter... But I find it amazing how they are totally segragated from each other... I'm happy getting little ones all day tho... Those little buggers fight hard for their size...
  18. Awesome... That's one fish Ive never caught... Tried a couple times... But no luck
