Is fishing trout beads essentially flossing/snagging?

night crawlers = dirty hands -
I tow with 2wd Sierra a 20.5 bassboat never had a problem. 4wd are in constant need of brakes, suspension parts wheel bearings, universal joints. Just a lot more maintenance cost.

Trebles I don't think so. You miss a lot of fish with beads so it's like a last resort thing with me. Lot's of guys view beads as the end of roe fishing, over time your hook up of 60% is to low for me. -

So like everything in fishing no hard fast rules. You need to adjust. Would really like to read MNR opinion on weather this is legal setup or not. -

My goal is to have the bead in the trouts throat and the hook still in there mouth. So I set the hook and catch the fish on the inside of the mouth. Most of the eastern tribs we are dealing with 8-10lb trout and likely 3.5-4 inch would be max. And the sweet spot to hook a fish outside mouth is very narrow. The hook would need to just in the perfect spot. And if you go to long you just miss the miss. If you are consistently hooking fish on the outside of the mouth you need to adjust. -
Obtaining Roe...tough to do it properly...

I fish Meaford , Owen Sound, Notty 4-5 times each fall and see almost zero released fish. When I release get looked at like I have 2 heads. I mostly fish community holes but C&R seems to be low. The eastern ditch I fish C&R seems to be high. -
So it even gets worst! 90% of the Standard bred are pacers and make poor riding horses. And they can race until 15. So the liberals wiped out 15 generations of horses and turned millions of dollar horses into .50 lb for horse meat. Now all the riding schools your kids go to had very valuable horses for kids to learn on. That value was also wipe out because all these horse can be replaced for .50 lb. The Liberals wiped out billions of dollars to save 10% for OLG. Yes this will be election issue. "Again to late for the horses" owners were force to cut losses.

Single eggs are terrible for hooking trout deep. So bad I stopped using them 30 years ago. Fish with a guy that single eggs often about 80% deep hooked. They real pt. is you are almost never hooking fish with a bead outside the mouth. If the hook is outside the mouth 1-2 inches you just miss the fish. -

You can fish single eggs and leave a hook in 90% of your c&r fish. Or you can let the fish suck the bead into there throat and the hook still in there mouth. So when you set the hook the fish is hooked in the mouth. If you run your bead to far above the hook it's outside of the mouth and you just miss the fish. Hooking a fish around the mouth like flossing is a very very small %. -
Sinker is right and they are having trouble hiring a contractor.

For the horse's it's to late. Liberal gave about 5 month lead time, possibly if they phased in cuts the carnage would have been reduced. Stud fees are payed for live foal on the ground. That's 2k to 50k. With no market no place to race all or most were still born (use your imagination). All the low to mid grade horses went from valuable to worth nothing. Basically the Liberals slaughter a few hundred thousand horses and killed 50,000 jobs.

What the Liberals did was make the casinos even more profitable. Horse racing had all the gambling rights locked up in Ontario for decades. The only why to get a casino anywhere but Indian Reserve was to give the horsemen a cut from the casino. And that was 10%. The # of lost jobs is reported at 50k and #of horses killed is huge. Most of these jobs are very low paying grooms, hot walkers, ticket handlers.

Most beads setups I've seen the hook is 3 inch from bead. So my ? to Wil Wegman if this was un baited hook. -

I contacted Wil Wegman on this issue. He said MNR had a 6 page document on legal not legal. And it was legal with some interpretation. Just from experience if MNR wrote 6 pages their will be 15 loopholes. Still would like to read it myself. -
The old fish ladder was installed in 1988 and never was intended for salmon. At that time MNR would not admit that the Chinook could or would reproduce in any of our rivers. We were also limited to 25% of summer mean flow by Goodyear. They were still using the dam for cooling. As you can see the old fish ladder was wildly successful. Looks like some bad planning shutting the old ladder down before the control channel was ready, good thing the right guy showed up with the right plan or we really would have a disaster.

Anything turn in to the police is police propriety. Call the local police and make a police report. When they say" we will pick that up say no". In 30 days you can get a quick claim from the police and you own it. This experience is from a boat and 20 years later a 20 hp Yamaha. I expect with a gun you will need to stand your ground.

I think it's funny that only Bob, Wayne and Craig and Ang should be aloud to make money at fishing. In this list are great angler, great business man and a great salesman. Some of the best anglers are on Pro Staff's and really have no interest in making a living at fishing. They are mixed in with great salesman, great business men and ones that are just their. Some of the biggest company's are demanding you be on NPS, facebook and Tweeter. With this type of social media the execs can say my pro staff is 75 (just a #) and they are directly effecting 2500 people plus they worked 1000 hr in various trade shows. As far as posting background pic. You are a day late and many dollars short.

Go north from Port Perry on Simcoe St to Manilla. At the 4 corners heading north the 1st place on your left is a big game butcher.

Yes Rich at 8000 post you should know to read the OP post.

The crazy line twist is because you are reeling in when the fish is taking drag. My guess is you mention something about versatility and that would be spinning equipment.

The lot is owe by the city. There is no parking for any # of boats so council squash it.. For your purposes it might work. I think it's Stone st. Just go south on Cedar until you can only go left or right.

go south on Cedar St. There used to be a vacant lot. We tried to get a launch ramp there. Not much parking.

I use a 8:6 Berkley Buzz Ramsey baitcaster 20lb braid and 12lb leader. Yes I can put the wheels to them.

What do you look for when shopping for lures?
Garnet replied to dhickey's topic in General Discussion
I really don't like specialty baits. When I was hard core tournament guy I stuck with baits that were easily bought at any CTC or local tackle store. I like baits and colors that work in multiple lakes and can be rig different ways. I've resisted most of these high end jerkbaits with short run color patterns. "MOST" not all
