  1. Almost all operate do a noon check. Steve's on Homes Point rd for early perch and Tim's later.
  2. The tip is vital but not your problem. Any of the other guide are not important as individuals and as already stated unrepairable. Take your side cutters and cut it off right at the wrap. Metal on line will just shred line. When I was tournament guy I had all brand new rods and reels. Morning of a medium big tournament (Top Bass) I see 2nd guide no ceramic quickly cut it off and fish the day. And I won so I just never fix it . Won 2 classics a tourney in North Bay and a few more same rod 2nd guide is just a wrap. Guess I thought it lucky probably won 60-70k with that stick. It will be for sale at my estate sale .
  3. I worked in GM Oshawa with 20k in production lot's of story's wife murders, Brinks Robber that his job back after prison . Down at the Ganny guy shot fellow ice fishing friend 11 times. Think the jury didn't believe the reloading part. Part of his condition was he could fish at ganny. We listen to radio reports with him on the trial. Just weird.
  4. That looks like them.
  5. A buddy showed me these boots on sale at Sail. They have a flip over ice cleat in heel. Only 40 below but look good just bad fit for me. They are black regular 99.99 and on sail for $70.
  6. lol
  7. It's all in the contract. Hire a lawyer not from his town to go over it.
  8. I don't remember did you put fuel stabilizer in. ! use sea foam because it has no shelf life. It's the 1 thing you don't want to if you get caught in a fast freeze so do it early and just top up if necessary.
  9. My favorite mouse solution . Go to TSC buy mouse killing blocks. Coat with peanut butter and leave in open containers everywhere in boat. Sorry makes me smile all winter.
  10. Wait to you see the belly of those woven fly's. Really cool.
  11. I went to a yard sale and seen all these wigs. The lady tells me they are her daughters stripper wigs pink, blue , raven, red and of course I'm sure there's a fly out of this collection. $5 and I have a doz stripper wigs. No fly yet but I'm thinking about it.
  12. It very well could last BUT look at the fun you will have finding a new stick.
  13. Wozen Fly's beautiful . You got it all wrong never ever go to the dollar ,Michaels or visit sites like ESTY Crafts. Your brain cells will start popping satellites will link ,ideas will seem endless and you will end up broke and penniless.
  14. Dan one of the great guys. RIP
  15. You can't go 5 miles on any hwy without seeing a big jig 5 car lengths off tiny car. Risking lives.
  16. I worked with a local farmer that was ticket for driving to slow on 115 looking at fields.
  17. Sooner or later you need to ask that fateful Question! How much does that pay. Keeps you out of a ton of work in the fishing Industry.
  18. That was a family friend kill 401 and 28 at Port Hope driver full speed rear end. No excuse.
  19. Do you have a collection of broken rods. You can use a doner piece. As descripted it will make a dead spot. I always buy a new stick don't want to ruin a trip.
  20. We call them sharks. Been floating down the ganny everyday.
  21. Don't ever go to dollar store again. Fly tiers nightmare.
  22. I'm doing the same thing. I check mine after fishing in fall and know if I need a repair. Then I change oil in spring just before pike and walleye. That's when my boat gets run 5-7 days a week . I want my best oil in then.
  23. Usually I just check top screw because I've just finished perchn. If it's oil I change after spring perchn so I change May when warm. If it's white I drain and have seal job done over winter. That gear oil is 80 wt so I don't like changing when cold.
  24. I cut salmon skein in chunks with scissors the size I use for salmon. Then I borax for 2-3 days. Then I separate into sandwich bags 10-12 chunks. Then I wrap each bag in tin foil and freeze. For making bags for rainbows I un thaw and then pull the eggs off the skein. Most often I bag as is, sometimes add a little more cure. When late August rolls around again my chunk salmon skein is ready to go.
  25. Threw the middle 80's I jigged spoons for walleye on Quinte. Exact same spoon in each hand one had a glued on rattle, blue ice line and I used doc j on it and minnow. The other just plain with a minnow. The one with the trixs was streaky and plain was consistent. For 5 years they caught the same amount of walleye. I won 2 bassmania classics using Kick N Bass. Don't get that stuff in your mouth. Safe to say I was in and out of scents.
