  1. Show was good...there were some deals to be had. Picked up a 7'6" MH St. Croix Mojo Bass - normally $129.99 + tax - for $110 tax-in at Tightlines. LiveTargets were also on at one of the retailers for buy 4, get one free. Saw Bob's seminar which was cool.
  2. Although I would LOVE some of those players to be wearing Leafs jerseys next Fall, some have already signed extensions to avoid free agency. Chara, Thornton, St. Louis, Semin, and Koivu all re-signed at different points during this season.
  3. I think he needs to be brought down a peg period, whether hes young or a vet.
  4. That's quite the encore.
  5. Exactly.
  6. It's people like that, who mock Leafs fans, that are very conveniently Detroit or Pittsburgh fans.
  7. Tell me what the problem with the ownership is? The spend to the cap, they'll pay to send guys to the minors...they hired Burke, which most people felt was the best move at the time. I don't like the fact that the OTPP has control of the team, but realistically, what else can they do?
  8. The team now is completely independent from any team beyond last year, considering almost all of the players have been changed besides Kaberle. But thanks for your support
  9. 8th place is on pace for 88 points. Assuming Toronto needs 90 points to get in, they need to go 17-7 over the remaining 24 games. Not exactly that far fetched.
  10. I was gonna suggest Le Baron but he beat me to it!
  11. I stayed at the Waltonian this season. It was good, but I wouldn't say it was great. The space heater in the cottage was broken. We asked them to bring another one, they said they would, but never did. Also, the TV in the cottage was broken. Not that TV was a big deal, but if it's going to be there, then it should at least work. In terms of fishing, it was pretty terrible. I don't blame the lodge for that...it was just one of those weekends. For positives: the huts were big and clean, the kid drilling the holes was really good to us, and the restaurant was pretty lively on Saturday night with a live guitarist. Overall it was a good experience, just not great.
  12. ...and if they went through the ice and died? I guess they would've learned something then. These kids were 8 or 9. Not 15 or 16.
  13. Maybe if they'd post the bloody seminar schedule I could decide if/when I'm going...
  14. Hey Brian, Here's a topic I started about steelhead reels a while ago: http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29862&st=0 The general consensus was a Whiskerlite or a Stradic.
  15. This should definitely expand the reach of Sebile's lures. Any tackle shop/box store that carries Berkley could soon be carrying Sebile.

    TomTom 335S

Haha...but the the unit can tell you how to find the pretty girls (bars, strip clubs...) If it was advertised then that would be sweet.
  17. Just left Shopper's Drug Mart (Richmond Hill - Bayview & 16th). They had the TomTom 335S on sale for $99.99. They sell it regularly at $179.99. For comparison's sake, Future Shop sells it for $169.99. I tried to find it in their online flyer, but it's not threre. So, call your local store before you go over. I'm a fan of Garmin, but at that price you can't go wrong. http://www.tomtom.com/en_us/products/car-navigation/xl-335-series/
  18. Superb pictures, Al. I'm heading into that area in July, so hopefully we can into some of those beauties too.
  19. Yeah, I measured 8cms in my driveway in Richmond Hill. Nowhere near the 20-25cm they were predicting.
  20. I've watched quite a few episodes, and from what I can see, Jeremy Wade is a pretty ethical angler. He always holds the fish horizontally, and usually keeps it in the water while he talks to the camera, unlike most fishing shows on WFN. I've only ever seen him keep 1 fish, and that was because it couldn't be revived. So, I wouldn't hold this one against him.
  21. Well, if they were doing something wrong then those two adults sure taught them a lesson...... Letting a kid fall 30 feet isn't exactly the same as a slap on the behind.
  22. ...And you're a fan of? Pittsburgh? Detroit?
  23. It all depends on where you go. Generally, the better the restaurant, the better the customer service. One time at Baton Rouge with my family for my birthday... I ordered a steak, medium. The cut of the steak was a little bit uneven and by the time I got to the other end it was completely raw. Unacceptable at a steakhouse. We told the waiter, who took it upon himself to tell the manager. My steak was comped and I was offered a new one, even though I had eaten more than half. I was also offered free dessert and given a $25 gift certificate. Now that's service.
