I am putting Power Pro on a bass spinning reel. I had 6lb mono on it before. I would like more casting distance so i thought i would try 10lb PP (2lb mono dia.). Will the PP cast farther? Should i use stronger PP? Is 75yards of PP enough? How far will it cast? Thankyou.

Yes fish at the narrows. Anyone know if there will be lots of 8" -10" fish for eating??? Or will it be all small ones.

Went out by long shoal today. The slush was bad when we broke though the top we would go right to the ice surface and have to push the atv to get out. travel time was about an hour on the atv before we had holes drilled. There was two of us on one atv with no sled. I saw some people stuck real bad. I got a nice laker and buddy got the whitefish. Didn't take the camera out with us so i took a pic on shore for you. I didn't ask my friend if it was ok to post the pic so i blocked out his face.

Resale is terrible on the big three.

I bought these shoes. They are waterproof. they were on sale at marks for $50. I am going to get a pair of waterproof socks too. I cant wear rubber boots cause i need all the balance i can get. Thanks for the idea's.

Boat shoes - what do you wear with your rain suit ??? My feet get wet when i have running shoes on. I like running shoes cause they give me better balance in the boat. I see mark's has water proof runners on for $60. Maybe i will try them.

Sinker were you marking the same amount of fish when they were not hitting your bait as when you were catching them???

That's not good. Are you doing the exact same things as them? What are they doing? Fishing has been slow on the west side of the lake. I was marking alot of smelt when i was out there. Only had a few bites.

What would they do if they had to turn right. It would be a blood bath.

Some spots just don't hold very many fish every day. They have alot of room to move around. Thats the problem with simcoe i guess. Thats were I started the morning (north east).

Right after it happened i asked him what pound test it was and he said 4lb. I was on his case a little for that then he said it was eight. I bet it was four but i never went to check it myself.
