Well, when you gotta go you gotta go. Case in point. I thought that I was gonna be on the show COPS a couple of years ago in Kansas City. Not a good thing for a Canadian. I was there for the NASCAR race, and after the big event we decided to walk over to the restaurant/bar area which is a mile or so from the track. Half way there I knew that I had to do my business, so my buddy kept walking while I did my thing. Next thing I knew, the grass in front of me was flashing red. Damn. I yelled to my buddy "Is that the COPS?" A voice right behind me advised me that yes, it was indeed the COPS. They were parked about 8 feet behind me. I didn't even hear the car. Yikes. I'm in trouble now. After a stern lecture, and explaining that I was from Canada, the conversation turned light hearted and a few laughs were shared. Good guys they were. Thank God.

You're not Canadian if you can't watch this one from start to finish without pausing.

I wouldn't want to be on a tourny lake before, after, or any other time of the year. I'll take a solitudinal island or shoreline camping spot any trime. Peace and quit. Being one on one with nature. Don't forget the sugar for your coffee. Your nearest neighbor is 5 miles away. Yea. That's what I like about fishing. If I see a boat within a mile of me, it's time to move.

Most manufacturers offer a budget 70 300mm F 4- 5.6 lens. I have one for my Olympus system. It cost in the $400.00 range. It struggles in low light but can also be a gem with good light. I'm happy with mine. It's pratically glued to my camera. Here's a few examples of how it performs in good light at 300mm. [/u

Hi Justin. I shot (photographed) this Spruce Grouse a few years back north of Pickle Lake. If I remember correctly it was -50 something F when I took this. I was in and out of the truck pretty quick.

I live and work amongst Wolves. I often hear them howling in packs at night. I've driven through packs of them. I've been ten feet away from them in garbage dumps. I'll take a Wolf over a tic any day. There's tons of stories about Wolves stalking people but very, very few encounters.

Be sure to grease the spline on your prop shaft for easy removal next time.
