  3. I will do it for 1000 each with grandpas pontoon boat
  4. Pull the carbs and clean them. If you can change a tire on a car you can clean your own carbs it takes 30 min on my 700 polaris
  5. The little guys were pounding the J-11 firetigre today down here in the Ottawa valley
  6. Fuel line, filter, and i would pull the carbs and check everything out before you too end up with melted pistons.
  7. Never run a 2stroke without fully pulling carbs at begining of season. Clean jets. Assemble. Then spray starting fluid around crank seals if rpm's spike you got some work to do. Unfortunatly it sounds like you burned her down. Shine a flashlight in the sparkplug hole. What does the wash look like?
  8. hey everyone. its bin an awsome weather for spring and i have hit the water pretty hard a few weeks ago we hit the huron rivermouths and were rewarded with some nce bows and browns. and last week we hit a lake up north with lakers open all year and had a blast cathing lakers on light spinning gear and meps spinners in shallow water. this weekend im headed to smiths falls in about half an hour today for my otherhalfs grandmas 90th birthday ( i pray i can fish that long ) and it looks like pike and trout are the only species open right now in the reigon. i know its a longshot but if there are any spring fed creeks in the area i would love to fish one this weekend for a few hours. if you feel like sharing let me know via pm. next sunday is the niagara if anyone needs a ride from hamilton. .......iknow i know....pic's.
  9. I only fish there in the winter..way easier to get into allot of those lakes on a sled.
  10. Also says no ethanol on a few right on the fuel tank
  11. Ps. Original poster. Take it to a dealer if its under warenty. That's what its for
  12. Tybo. That's wrong. Higer octane fuel is made for higher compression engine's, it does not and can not affect the compression of an engine that would require an alteration in the dimensions of the the bore, stroke or cylinderhead. An octane rating is a numerical figure that relates to how much squish can applied to the fuel before it detonates due to compression. If this happens (running regular in a hi-comp. Motor). The fuel detonates while the piston is still moving upwards... The damage is like a head on collision and results in cracked pistons, bent conecting rods and cylinder head damage. Not trying to be a dick tybo but the statement you made is wrong. No damage can occur from running a higer octane rating than nessacary except to wallet.
  13. Any pond 150 ft across south of virginia generaly holds LARGE.bass
  14. Well I figuerd I should find out why. A little digging this is what I found.. I know kinda off topic.. http://www.fuel-testers.com/expiration_of_ethanol_gas.html Ethanol is hydroscopic
  15. Hey man sounds like you've already have an opinion on this subject. You asked. I don't know why but I do know you put ethanol fuel in your boat I'll but no corn in mine... Let them sit for a month or so. Mine will run better. I think the lubricating properties of the fuel are outweighed by the oil you mix it with.
  16. .
  17. I would be all over that walleye guided trip if I diddnt just lake an "unseen vacation" and start my new job on the 21st.
  18. The fuel with ethanol I find dosent have the same "shelf life". 30days or so is all I trust it .. So in a chainsaw that gets used once or twice a year can gum up carbs. Or in a boat that dosent get used everyweekend. I have found with experiance running ethanol free fuel in all my 2strokes cuts down on carb matinence considerably. The higer octane rating is in most cases not needed but premium fuel is the only ethanol free fuel I can find
  19. Premium has zero ethanol in it. You don't need it for the octane rating just the no ethanol factor 2strokes and ethanol don't play nice
  20. Wow. So sad. My uncle went through on sturgon years ago but I can't imagine loosing my father. Like others have said if you need anything let us know.
  21. I did a contract route for a year when i was younger. Not easy. I had 548 stops. Not quite as simle as match number, repeat, my first day i was delivering mail till 11pm

  23. I chickened out just got home from droppin the hut at the end of gillford rd. Its the big ugly green one ill drag it out in the afternoon after I chase lakers in the am. My final decision was based on heaven forbid having to get that hut up the hill.
  24. "As for "safe" ice.. it's only as safe as you make it to be. We all have our own thresholds for go.. no go... and what we go with.". I couldent agree more.. I have bin fishing simcoe for 23 years have havent bin for a swim yet. Came close about 15years ago myself my father and my grandpa went to get our huts off at the end of the season. Ice was fine all day..on the way home it had blown 60ft off shore. I wish i had a camcorder that day waterskipping a bravo 250 with an iceshack in tow...
  25. I was out yesterday.. There was deff. more than 4 inches where i was......... I mean the ice is really unsafe dont come and fish there.......
